Despite what the TSN panel said, Brown deserved 5 minutes. That's a dangerous play. You can't nudge a guy from behind at that kind of speed. That's exactly how a guy will break his neck .

Terrible game. ... Ifthe Leafs didn't get those questionable calls we all might of pulled it out.
Once we get healthy and have Reimer in the goal who has better rebound control we should be Ok.

The Habs had 37 shots last time and lost 6-0. But they deserved this game as they won battles and got bounces.

ask both guys if they're ready. drop puck.
- Feeling Glucky?

Pretty sure they tried that but they ended up creating and following rules of engagement.

Just do it lacrosse style.

Yes it was. Gorges checks his left shoulder and Brown comes from behind on the right side. It's still from behind just a little to the right. It's a dangerous play that could break a guys neck. That's why they gave him 5 and a game.
- Two_For_Truth

It wasn't a hit from behind by definition. He hit him in the back of his right shoulder...that's not hitting from behind.

He got 5 minutes because the officiating was brutal...as usual.

Would've been okay if he got a 2min...but only because georges was a meter away from the boards.

Interesting thought...except that it wasn't a hit that was directly from behind...watch the replay.
- Pen15

Shocking how slow motion shows a hit from the side that was called boarding... although Brown will probably be suspended for it anyways.. but the constant slow motions of running the goalie.. never get called...

That must be why all the platinums were empty. An outbreak of quiche spilling.

This says it all...

But apparently, the back of the right shoulder isn't from behind.

Okay.

So explain why Pacioretty getting only 2 mins for smashing Mcdonagh's face in the boards.... very inconsistent.

He should have been suspended for that, at least a game. But yes, inconsistent, for sure.

I'm more pissed about the fakeout puck drop by the linesmen on bozak. Jesus we get better puckdrops in beer league.

"PSYCH Bozo...... Go get em habs"

Pretty sure the linesmen said that during the puck drop on the third goal........ may not be word for word tho

totally agree. I'd take a snowstorm any day of the week over ice.
- Pen15

I remember one weekend like 15 years ago snowed a little temps were warm.. then drove into work.. clear as day.. pulled into the work parking lot.. drove up to my spot... hit the brakes.. then slid for 40 feet.. right into another car.. it was a thin sheet of manicured ice.. not that I have never slid.. did everything possible... and went in the same direction..

Fortunately I hit him and he had an older car.. right on the door jam.. there was only a scratch.. from a 40 km hit.. he said not to worry about it when I told him.

Nowadays I would be looking at a $6000 bill

Meh, it is over and done with, on to the next game, I'm not going to harp on this loss.
- LeafMan

Exactly! Reimer tomorrow night, then 3 days off. By then, the Leafs will have Frattin back and Lupul should be a week after that. I think it's time that Nonis should make a couple of moves. I think it's time for Gardiner. He would have opened up the ice tonight, if he had played. They should also re-visit the O'Reilly trade talks, as well.

Watched it and Brown still hits him from the back of the right shoulder, just like you said he did.
