Doubledown is alright. He's a legit greaseball, but not all of them are bad. Nobody likes him because of his belts.

if you're gonna twist everything and make the Leafs seem like poor victims, whatever, can't debate the POV. we'll see what comes of it. but at least you guys have a built-in excuse if you lose this game.
- DoubleDown

How am I twisting anything around? You are suggesting that Brown should not throw hits so that he is not at risk for getting penalties incorrectly called against him. Should players also not lift their sticks off the ice in fear of incorrectly getting called for hooking?

I hate to sound like a Vancouver fan, but they've been getting the short end of the stick all season. Maybe it's because they play a really rough game this season, refs always seem to pick on those teams. Scrivens got ran a few minutes before and no one batted an eye. I guess the Leafs are just going to have to get used to this.

I really hope they realize that they made a stupid call on that major and give call a makeup penalty early on in the 2nd. They'll probably just sit around for 15 minutes reassuring eachother though. "No that was the right call, can't let this get out of hand like the last one". Douches.

- Jeffmt

they run the risk of having it get out of control if they do call a stupid make-up call..

just call some extra icings and offsides to slow it down...

then get the hell out of the way.

the earlier game only got out of control when the Habs knew they were getting embarrassed in their own building...

Looks like all the crying the Habs did after the last game had the desired effect.

No insulting the regulars. Not a smart thing to do with my man Dozzer around. His calls are more unpredictable than the zebras on the ice right now

and Plekanec could have chosen not to slash Orr.. or Patchoretti could have chosen not to grab Grabovski from behind... lots of things happen in the moment. Patchoretti doesn't reach around .. he doesn't get kissed.

Refs can have a definite impact on the mood and tempo of a game. These ones are itchy to keep it from getting out of control... and by behaving that way... it will get out of control.

- BorjeFan4Ever

I`m hoping so

Terrible hit. I'd say probably 5-10 games. I'm sure the Habs will send video evidence to the league.

that's what the habs refs are for. no need to come into a leafs thread to whine about it.

If one of your guys got a major for something that's routinely called as a 2 minute minor you guys would all be up in arms too. You know that. A 5 minute major is incredibly hard to kill without allowing at least a goal.

Im watching the game. To be honest, with the natural speed of a hockey game, its a tough call. I guess it warrants a penalty...2 minute boarding call...5 min major isnt a terrible call, but it shouldnt be anything more than that. Looking at the replay I think the way he fell forward made it look alot worse.

You're talking to a Habs fan, buddy.
