BS call... The refs are assclowns tonight. - Arctic_AARDVARK
This has everything to do with what happened last game. The refs think they have to lay down the law early. They might cost the Leafs this game in doing so. NHL refs try to do way too much to influence the game. |

That was a stupid call, not a stupid penalty. He hit him clean on the hip. Awful officiating as always - lumlums
definitely a minor, pang said it best. it's a textbook boarding call.
brutal, brutal call. could cost em the game. |

Five?
Definatly a penalty, but not a major. - david22
I could live with a minor, I mean you can see how it gets called.

you can debate if it should be 2 or 5.... but that was not clean.

Agreed buddy.. I hate how they protect the Dirty Montreal Midgets... it happens in every game...
didn't see a penalty when they ran Scrivens earlier... but a pu$$y gets a little chaffe and it is a double minor.
F that we will still win.. and they will still get KO'd

I hope this gives the Leafs momentum. Kill off the penalty and that should give them a boost. |

I'm still amazed that Brown's old Domi dump and chase worked on that goal. |

You want to give him two, fine give him two. I don't agree with it.
Five is a joke. |

interesting perspective, i'd have to agree.
refs have to be consistent. they can't be making potential game changing calls basaed on the need to lay the law down.
the reffing has been horrible this season. they need more accountability. |

lol how the hell is that a 5 minute major and a game? - blahman20
it's a dangerous play. it's taking advantage of a player in a vulnerable position.
if you're the Leafs and you're gonna run around all period the way they did, looking to decapitate guys, you're putting a bull's eye on your back and you get nailed with these calls. it's very simple. |

5 and a game for throwing the Habs around like rag dolls? This could be a long night... - Leeman4Gilmour
When you said "ragdoll" all I could see in my mind was poor little helpless Brian McCabe being ragdolled by Chara using one hand. lol.
Carry on. |

you can't hit someone in a position where they are prone to falling into the boards, regardless of whether it's in the numbers or in the hip. it's a textbook boarding penalty. |

its a penality... but not 5 and game.
Refs are worried about the game getting out of hand. They needn't worry.. I'm sure Plekanec's teammates told him not to try that slashing nonsence again.
I'm more concerned about the penalty that was going to be called against Gunnarson. It was Armstrong with his hand lose - grabbing Gunnarson. That was a bad sign. |
