We've finally got a few guys who's nicknames are more than just adding "y" to their last name.

James "Optimus Reim" Reimer
"Big" Ben Scrivens

Apparently some Leafs are calling Kadri "the dream" which is lame as (frank), but whatever.

Phil "the Thrill" Kessel.

any others?

Reimer was out 16 days. Not exactly the 7 as first expected by some.

"Grabo" But that's just by default based on his name but still not a "y"

Apparently "The Dream" is actually an inside joke ripping on him cause American announcers keep saying "Nazeem" Kadri, when he hates it. His name is Nazem with a soft E. So, they're calling him "Nazeem the Dream" lol

Although whenever he scores or makes a sick play for an assist. I'll start chanting "Nazeeeeeeem, nazeem, nazeem, nazeem, nazeeeeemm" like the olay, olay chant lol

Against the other 29 NHL teams, Grabovski has .55 PIMs per game in his career. Against Montreal, it's five times that.

Probably Phaneuf's fault.
- Domidives

Phaneuf doesn't hurt the goalies as much as the players because the goalies are in the net, the one thing he can't seem to hit consistently.

Yes i agree with Reimers play this year being like he was when he broke into the nhl And yes again agree'ed Scrivens is playing like he did in the ahl..Thing is when both goalies started spending major time under Allaire they changed..Riemer and Scrivens both sat deeper in their net and with a lower postioning..First thing St Croix stated he was gona ask from both tenders was to take at least 1 step farther out from the net and make themselfs taller..If you go back and look at their game play you will right away see the dif between then and now..This season we are seeing both tenders alot farther out and up..Allaire was a gr8 goalie coach yrs ago and even has tenders that were cup champs..Todays goalies are dif from back then tho and he wasnt able to adapt to the style..
- ALeafsFan4Ever

Scrivens has always worked with Allaire, even before Leafs hired him. He worked with him in the summer as well.

Oviously St Croix is with Leafs and that's his coach in practices, but he's still a student of Allaire - that's his style.

Scrivens was best goalie in AHL last year, or one of anyway, all while being coached by Allaire.

just difference in styles. works for Scrivens, not for Reimer

Meh. Knee injuries are tricky, especially for goalies. If you have a capable backup like Scrivens, there's no point in rushing it just so he can re-injure it again.
