Not really, it's more a product of the defensive system I've noticed though. Not that anything's wrong with that

Oh clearly Carlye's system is paying dividends when it comes to everyone including the tenders. Reimer has shown that he can play tho, hopefully he bounces back better from this injury than he did the head injury.

That list can change with one game Luongo was first a game ago
- pker2theend

We don't speak Left coast here. We're using the metric system - could you just say "8 goals ago" instead of one game ago? So much easier to follow. Schneider could climb that list too....like if he gets a shutout in game with 174 shots he should be right up there.

I believe Lou was 2nd overall....also both Scrivens and Reimer have been in the top 10 most of the season so far.

This... This is what I've tried explaining to leaf fans for so long.

Wilson creates bad goaltenders.

Tippet creates fantastic goaltenders.

Coincidence?

- mfreedman

No Tippet isn't coaching the Leafs

I like to believe that St Croix has alot to do with our tenders being better this yr as well..Him and the def system has been working..Ive hated allaire since he was hired by Burkie..Best part of the off season for me was hearing we changed goalie coach's

Reimer said they're going to talk it over in New York tomorrow but it might be safer to take the break and start Monday against Jersey.

But that would also mean Scrivens is starting back-back and 3 games in 4 nights again and we all remember what happened last time we did that...

Reimer's playing this year like he did his rookie year. Confident and challenging shooters.

Scrivens is doing what he did in AHL - solid positional and blocking pucks - Allaire style goalie (and he's said he still intends to work with him on his own)

true, but Reimer is also playing like the Reimer we say as a rookie, who was lights out even in Wilson's system of defensive neglect.

OPTIMUS

We've finally got a few guys who's nicknames are more than just adding "y" to their last name.

James "Optimus Reim" Reimer
"Big" Ben Scrivens

Apparently some Leafs are calling Kadri "the dream" which is lame as (frank), but whatever.

Phil "the Thrill" Kessel.

any others?

So... Everyone pretty confident the Leafs are gonna roll the Habs again?

It's a game they should be able to win, but they need to be focused. Last game they took the Flyers lightly at times and it almost cost them, and Saturday it lost them the game vs the Sens.

well we got spoiled last game. Leafs won and pounded the Habs. I hoping for either a win or to lay a good beating on those midgets - either would make me happy.

Yes i agree with Reimers play this year being like he was when he broke into the nhl And yes again agree'ed Scrivens is playing like he did in the ahl..Thing is when both goalies started spending major time under Allaire they changed..Riemer and Scrivens both sat deeper in their net and with a lower postioning..First thing St Croix stated he was gona ask from both tenders was to take at least 1 step farther out from the net and make themselfs taller..If you go back and look at their game play you will right away see the dif between then and now..This season we are seeing both tenders alot farther out and up..Allaire was a gr8 goalie coach yrs ago and even has tenders that were cup champs..Todays goalies are dif from back then tho and he wasnt able to adapt to the style..
