And who would Nashville get that gives us better results. You cannot win Cups with poopty players. I would agree that his style does not please the masses, but he is forced to play that way because of a lack of talent on the ice.

You cannot put this on Trotz this time around. The roster is garbage...plain and simple.

OK, DP just got canned & you are the new GM. Where do you start at cleaning up this roster?

Over or under: 1 goal for Preds?

When they come, they come in bunches , it seems.

I hope the team only meeting results are favorable.

Hannan is quite possibly the worst free agent signing in Poile's history. Seriously, he is awful. They would have been better off bringing up another d-man from Milwakee. Hannan offers NOTHING for this team.

That denial on Erat sums this team up perfectly. Too many players that can't finish golden chances.

They better find a way to salvage this game or this season will start circling down the toilet bowl. Getting outshot 15-3 in a period is past the point of being old. It's ancient.

This team reminds me of the teams when we had the I think I can I think i can mentality as in hoping we would beat teams. Getting pushed around too much, can't win the battles for the pucks no one good enough to FINISH a DA@@ golden chance. There has to be some call ups. Make some of these guys remember what it is like to earn there spot.

This club is terrible right now. Other than Rinne, this team is pathetic, Weber is a siv, and no one can score. So sad. If they continue, it should cost Trotz his job

Trotz is far from the problem. The problem is half of the roster belongs in the AHL, and that's on ownership/GM.

Seriously though, I'm waiting for Rinne to lose it and just go bat poop crazy because no one else on the team can play defense or score.

Forwards:
Erat, Leggy, Fisher, and Gaustad are pretty much stuck here unless you find a sucker to take them off of your hands. I could see someone taking Erat or Fisher, but you probably aren't getting much back for them.

Resign Horny for a 3-4 year contract. I really think is one of the few forwards that has some fire in his belly. And he clearly is still one of our best forwards.

Tits could be dangled to a playoff contender...again...probably not getting a whole lot there, but you never know.

Wilson is starting to show what kind of player he can be, but he needs players around him too. Still, I keep him around and probably extend him at this point if possible.

Spaling...as much as I like him...has hit his ceiling at this point and will probably never be much more than a 3rd line guy. He is not a finisher...plain and simple. If I can keep him on the cheap, I probably do...but much more than what he is making now would be stupid in my eyes.

Yip...gone. I can find 50 of these players on waivers.

Smith...not sure if he has been used properly. I think with the right players around him, he could become offensivley dangerous. We have seen flashes, but not consistency yet. I keep him around, but if after his contract is up we haven't seen much...no way he gets 2 million again.

Halischuk...see Spaling. Plus, his injury situation is starting to get old.

Borque...cheap and young. Shows flashes. Surround him with some talent and he could be good. Either way...no reason to not keep him at this point.

Clune...I don't get it, but if Trotz loves the dude I see no reason as of yet to part ways.

Defense:

Weber- Need to get him a puck mover next to him. I think Josi could be the guy...time will tell. If not, it will be hard to free him up as teams will target him at all times.

Gill- Move him. Old and injury prone. Has value as a PKer for a playoff team, but not worth a spot on this roster.

Ellis- Way too early on this one. Could take a few years, but hopefully becomes a solid puck mover for us.

Klein- Extended for 153,664 years. I guess he is here for a while.

Josi- Extend him. He needs to be more consistent, but this guy is showing the hyped talent here and there. He looks like the most dangerous player on the ice at times for us...yikes...

Hannan-

Blum- I do a very candid evaluation on this guy. I do a ton of tape watching from day 1 of his career until the present. If I do not see vast improvement at this point, it is time to go. We have wasted a ton of resources on this guy to not see return at this point. Tough call.

Goalies:

Rinne- Ummmm...we are 15th in the West right now if not for this player.

Mason- I can't complain too much about his game, as he has gotten little support. If he is good in the lockerroom and I feel he has enough for a year or two more, I probably sign him on he cheap. If I have a goalie prospect who is tearing it up, I might not.

EPIC????

Interesting stat on Erat- He has taken more minors (12) than he has gotten points (11) so far.

There is plenty for the coaching staff to work on right now and there is should be a keen sense of urgency felt by Poile to find some offense.

I think Pekka is our leading scorer if you count the OT points as his own. We are wearing him out, the offense and defense are the millstone around Pekka's neck and he is treading water furiously. I feel bad for him because he sees the poopity effort in front every night.

I said to friends before this season started that I believed the key to this shortened season was going to come down to coaching ..............

Sweet....after tonight's results, we are now 10th in the Western Conference (down from 4th last week). After tomorrow night's loss in LA, we will be 11th--just barely above the Avs and Flames.

Sucks, huh?

Way too many band aids on the roster. If this team slides anymore, let Wilson & Smith get top minutes then address a #1 C in the offseason if they fail. Move Fisher or Leggy to wing. The no movement clauses will bite DP in the butt with a few of these contracts.

It shall be interesting how DP handles Hornqvist's next contract. I agree on Gaustad, Gill, Blum, & SK being shopped at the deadline. Maybe Hannan.

Help is on the way. Preds just claimed Bobby Butler and his 2 pts with a -6 in 14 games off waivers.

Oh well, I guess it is low risk, high reward. Maybe he'll surprise all of us and be the guy that jump starts this team.

With his -6 he goes straight to the doghouse!

"Low Risk/High Reward"....is it too late to change the name of our team to the Nashville Low Risk/High Reward's? Our team mascot could be Nick Bergfors (I hear he's out of a job...so he has free time).
