We have the know it all's and those who refuse to agree to disagree on a topic to thank for that. He celebrated his 1-year anniversary away from HB last week.

Some of the newer Oreo flavored crèmes suck. I'm not a huge peanut fan-love them separately, but not in my cookies or ice cream. But I dig all sorts of cookies.
- Jsaquella

I would take a good piece of cake over a cookie. Love cheese cake as well as whipped cream icing. Pie's always good too. I've started to like ice cream less but if I can find Cotton Candy ice cream, I always get it.

Facist...my wife and I both love those crème wafers. We bought a bag of them for movie night and they were gone by the time the opening credits ended. She vowed we'll never buy them again.
- Jsaquella

any combination of cake (not a huge cake fan though), cookies, or chocolate with peanut butter is my weakness.

Giant makes a Reese's Peant Butter Cookie.. i cry every time i take a bite.

It's not even just stars these days. I was watching a Blues game and he made Vladimir Sobotka and David Perron seem like the greatest players ever. VLADIMIR SOBOTKA AND DAVID PERRON.
- NickTheKid87

Look I am sure he is told to make the product look good. It is his job he is just really bad at it because he is so over the top with his praise that he comes off fake and phony. Honestly when the majority of the fans of the sport you cover dont take you seriously and cant stand your broadcasts then there is a problem that the network needs to work out.....Vladimir Sobotka

Seth Jones is not the second coming of Bobby Orr. I view him along similar lines to Victor Hedman in 2009. He'll probably go straight to the NHL but you can expect him to be on his second contract by the time he starts to show consistency.

It's going to take 4-5 years of patience to see him start to blossom. This organization preaches but often doesn't exercise patience. If you want to develop your own defensemen, it means living through a lengthy learning curve and even perhaps a backward step in year two or three.

Yea drouin or mackinnon would be my too choices I don't trust the flyers with Seth jones

me too thorne and clement were the best together. Every time I watch Game 6 2004 ECF against Tampa Bay I get goosebumps. Half because of the game and Half because of the call by Gary Thorne. I bet if they brought him in the ratings would go up.

Fully admit to having watched that Gagne OT goal from Game 6 about 10 times last night after that trade was announced and it made me remember how good Gary Thorne was.

Adding nuts to a cookie is an excellent way to completely ruin it.
- johndewar

For me it depends on the nut.

Coconut, on the other hand, is the ultimate dessert ruiner.

Olczyk got passed around the league more than a joint at a Phish concert. I don't think he ever played on a winning team as a player.

I can just see him slipping back into hockey:
"With one and a quarter minute left before work, he careened around the couch, he pinballs up the stairs, oh my and a driiiiive by Crosby... er..."

I was going to go with the Grateful Dead in that simile, but then I remembered there are few young'uns here who may not know the Dead and that Trey is a Flyers fan!

If Comcast were smart they would back a dump truck full of money up to his house and said your doing hockey again...Fans should look forward to there team being on National TV. I remember how i loved it when the Flyers were on ESPN Wednesday Night Hockey. The main reason was you got Thorne and Clement doing the games.

Thorne and Clement just gave every game a BIG game feel to it. I remember when even a regular season game where the Flyers were on ESPN had such a huge feel to it because he was doing the game.

I watch Orioles games just to hear his voice.

I inferred this because, as a single dad, I kind of empathize with Briere not wanting to move his boys.
- johndewar

Wasn't he going to play in Germany all season if the lockout didn't end?

Thanks Bill for the dose of reality! I'm so tired of hearing about Seth Jones. I wasn't floored by him in the World Juniors... Seems like a lot of hype for a good (not great) player who won't make an impact for years.

That's a good point that I didn't consider. No idea how he dealt with it then, but I would imagine it would still be a consideration.

Me too. I miss ESPN... The NHL hasn't been as good on NBC and the subsequent networks it's been on.

The classic days of ESPN with Thorne and Clement were unreal, even the ESPN2 feeds with Levy and Panger were good lol.
