Gagne, Briere, Timonen, Hartnell, Knuble, Coburn, Giroux...

Schenn = Richards

Couturier = Carter

He'll get a game or a couple cuz he's a scrub... If a star makes that hit Pierre shuts the (frank) up and says nothing and shanny doesn't even think about suspending the player.
- Yosimar89

If he gets a game I call bullsh!t. That was late at worst. No intentional knee that I could see. No targeting the head. Looked to me like he tried to pull up.

Harry Z was robbed that was a clean hit.

I thought Luke Schenn, Couturier, Simmonds, Harry Z had strong games to name a few.

It was remarkable today the amount of Gagne disrespect and hate leading up to this game. (not in here) Im glad he has played well and shut some of them up.
- MBFlyerfan

Just watching him tonight, Gagne can still play. I don't know how many points he'll rack up, but he he knows where to be and what to do with the puck. And I think he'll really help Couturier.

Good win. Gagne played a very solid game.

Hate to see yet another player injured. When does it (frank)ing stop?

Wish Bryz got the shutout, of course a Fedesucko lost faceoff and Gervais getting clowned in front of the net by Ward lead to the goal. Bad rebound by Bryz, but otherwise played great. Deserved the shutout.

Looks like Foster and Gervais for a while, until Meszaros is ready.

Flyers have had two players play in the Ivy League, Powe, and Z, and they are two of the stupidest players I have ever seen.

I think that saying he fell off a cliff is overstating it. Ovechkin scored 38 goals last Season. And at his current pace, he'd score 36 goals and 32 assists in an 82 game Season. Still a very good player.
- MJL

Compared to him being projected as a perennial 60 goal scorer? Definitely a big drop.

I have to admit he looked good tonight. The Caps as a team were flat out horrendous.

How did you see it?
- MBFlyerfan

Same way you did..I think. Not a cheap hit, not dirty, no knee. Late at worst. Saw it with my own two eyes.

Harry Z's hit, the knee made first contact, but he didn't stick his leg out...I disagree with 5 and a game for sure.

Looked like he launched himself somewhat. Definitely left his feet. The thing is, up 4-1 with less than 30 seconds left, it's a total unnecessary hit. Just dumb.

Forwards got back to help out. Even Lavy pointed that out between periods. This team has a ton of offensive talent. Get back, help out, get the puck out and attack. Solid game. Need to win this next one to get over the mental hump.

agreed.

except he should get a game misconduct just for being stupid. No need to make a big hit with 30 seconds left in a 4 - 1 game.

The unfortunate part is the term and value of his contract is on par for an elite player. I'm not sure he ever gets back to that guy, maybe a change of scenery would help, but for a team to take on that cap hit is going to be difficult.

The Flyers did what they needed to do. The Caps played last night, the Flyers didn't. So the Flyers jumped on them immediately and built a quick 2-0 lead. Then they built on it the second period. I didn't like the third period the Flyers played -- shut down the engines a little early for my liking -- but the game was already decided by then.

I think it was definitely knee on knee. But purely accidental and unintentional. Don't think that it deserved a major. Nor does it deserve a suspension in my opinion. Just an attempt at a clean hit that went bad.

Didn't see an angle that showed knee contact first, but in any case, Z was by no means doing his Bryan Marchment impersonation. He kinda jumped to avoid a full on hit just as they collided.

My brain expects to see Gagne in a Kings jersey. This is weird

How do you take commentators seriously when they immediately compare that hit to what Taylor Hall did?

Ridiculous.

Was based on the outcome, because Perrault looked to be injured. Looked more like a 2-min penalty to me.

The angle from behind Zolnierczyk shows knee on knee contact, but it wasn't like Hall on Clutterbuck at all.

Agreed. That game was totally controlled by the Flyers. The Caps were lazy and didn't do one thing well.
