would briere, Laughton, and a 1st get us Shattenkirk?
- KGBflyers10

I'll up it to Briere, Laughton, Cousins, Stolarz, Leier, and every first round pick we have or acquire in the future for the rest of the decade for Pietrangelo

KNIFED AWAYYYYY!!

I'm sorry guys but I just can't stand the way he calls a flyers game. It really sounds like he's surprised or.disappointed when the Flyers score, barring a "big goal" (one in OT, etc)

- Giroux_Is_God

He's got nothing at all against the Flyers, past or present.

Then you'd have to get rid of Voracek or Giroux.

Its unfortunate because he brings so much more than scoring to this team...
- Philly1980

I just remember that when this team couldn't win a game and couldn't even win the draft lottery he could have signed anywhere and he chose Philadelphia and he didn't just join the team he made the region his home.

The late 70s! You've probably seen some good ones! Spectrum '82? '89?

I didn't (couldn't really) get the Grateful Dead until I hit college in 1990. Caught as many shows as I could between '91 and '95 as they were fading...but still saw some very memorable shows.

I'll get off your lawn now

LOL
Spectrum 89 was an awesome show. Im pretty sure 82 was too but my memories of that one are pretty foggy!!

I honestly can't figure out why anyone would want Briere. Like everyone esle, I really like Danny. But he's been mediocre all year long, and was fairly average last season as well (not including playoffs). His cap hit just doesn't justify his output. What I would do with Danny if I'm Homer is buy him out and resign him for league minimum. It's obvious he wants to stay here, and in that scenario he actually makes more money and help us sign a guy like Corey Perry.

I think a sure fire playoff team just wants him for the post-season.

Hundred year hall is one of my favorite albums to date. Alot of their popular work but some good ones.

I wouldn't say that, but the blues probably don't want to add dbs salary. Also how would he fit in hitchs system? Deal doesn't make sense. Maybe laughton a first and another prospect.

I believe there was more than one team who offered more per year. Montreal for one.

Bill,
You have always said Briere is a class act. I find it hard to believe he would tell the Flyers no if they asked him to waive his NTC. I think it would have to be a team he is comfortable with, but I can't see him sticking to the organization so to speak. Your thoughts.

You can't buyout a player and then sign him to another contract.

That's why he's probably going to get traded to a team that has cap space, and might want to use their buyout on him.

How does that help St. Louis today? They're making a push not selling off assets.

Certainly not for Shattenkirk. As we've already alluded, you'd have to include Voracek, Couturier, or Schenn to start.

I love that '82 show. Still gets fairly regular play in these parts. You know they put it out as an official release right (in case you want to clear away the fog):

Love these moves. Knuble has needed to sit for a while now. Gus should be able to play his game more with Foster instead of Bruno.
