Unlike most fans I wasn't too thrilled about the Sabres D. I feel like if anything the lightning beat themselves. The first goal was unfortunate yes but the second goals was like something out of the sabres defensive playbook. The turnover at the blueline is one thing but I still don't understand how vanek was able to get that pass out to the top of the circle with two lightning players in the way. - Sabresfan-365

Thanks (NOT) the game didn't help at all the Sabres chances of the number 1 pick, you guys will be right, team has a lot of talent, maybe Miller was just a little better tonight. |

How dare you? How dare you call the Sabres a 15th place team?
Nice write up. No need to argue with any of it. |

I know a loss is a loss, but I saw signs of improvement. Many of our wins came from blind luck and total offense output. This game We attacked well, we went to the net and we battled. Our mistakes were that We passed the puck to much and a little to fancy and the Sabres capitalsized on a couple of turnovers. The first goal was a fluke, throwing it from behind the net and goes in off of Salo's skate. More efforts like that (and little puck-luck) and wins will come. |

Having Myers score the winning goal is adding insult to injury, what happened to this kid he's out of position and being beaten more than Lee. This Lightning team is frustrating six power plays including a 5 on 3 and zippo is all anyone needed to say. No one bothered Miller who played great all night, this is where we miss Malone. The only way this team makes the playoffs is winning the Southeast which will probably come down to a tie breaker with all 5 teams at .500 records at the end. |

Hey what happened with the blender shouldn't you be changing your name from Artie to Stubbie this morning? |

Your blogger hit the nail on the head 'Bolts fans: Sabres couldn't give this one away last night. It's a shame too -- I was hoping we'd keep losing so we could start unloading some of this dead weight sooner than later.
Probably not a good idea to entertain Sabres fans. They're not the nicest of people, kinda like Flyers fans only not as loud. - Artyukhin76
That's embarrassing to read. But it's probably part of why I don't post on this site all that often. |

Miller was solid. He still is an excellent goalie that most teams would love to have on their rosters. |

Don't take it personally, the rest of us like other team posters. Without different viewpoints, we kind of get stuck in Lightning think.
That said, what is a hockey site without fans trashing other teams and their fans?
Boring.
Buffalo played well last night and your team should not be in last place. Panthers should be in that position very shortly.

We shouldn't be turning over the puck on a breakout from our end twice. The defence has to do better. Lee should be a healthy scratch every night.
Take it you watched the game instead of having relations with your blender. |

How is Tampa not amazing? Look at their lineup.... LeCavalier, St. Louis, Stamkos, Hedman, this Conacher kid, Purcell is pretty good, Salo is decent, Brewer (should be decent), etc. They should be blowing people away. The Sabres, to a man, don't come close to the talent in the Bolts lineup. When Marty St. Louis got his wheels going in the second period and forced Myers to take that penalty, I thought, wow, this is over. But alas, talent does not always equal wins. |

This is the most accurate Blog concerning the Sabres I have read in a long long long long time. Well said and spot on. Tampa has a lot of raw talent and will be a force in the Eastern Conference for a while. |

Hey Mike- Why don't you write a piece on which coach should replace Boucher when he gets fired in 29 games. |

I think Boucher will stay, but adding a better defense coach, possibly Cooper and a new goalie coach will go a long way. |

I'm led to believe that Boucher is not on the hot seat. |

I'm not offended -- I'm a pretty level-headed poster. I just wish more Sabres fans would have the humility our track record and championship history would ask of us. People might like us more if that were the case. We aren't anything yet, especially not having won a championship, and this year we're extra terrible. People should behave accordingly. |

I've reconsidered my thoughts on coaching. Adding a defense coach like Cooper (or a former defenseman like Doug Bodger) and switching out our goalie coach to one that is closer to Lindback or switching for a goalie that is more like him ( I choose option A). |
