Potentially a couple of guys in Anaheim.
- Nucker101

They will be signed, and as much as the leaf fans would like to think otherwise, they will likely not be seeing the market...

No it's not your opinion it's fact. They're logjammed at center right now. Galchenyuk will be moved to center next year after he gets a year under his belt. One of him, Plekanec, Eller, or DD will have to either move to the wing or be moved. Now people are FINALLY seeing how good Eller can be, and I don't think Plekanec's going anywhere..

Only leaves one guy.

- Saundies

Oh yeah. They're just oozing with talent and depth in the middle.

Meh. Desharnais is a cheap and productive player. Eller can play on the wing... I don't see anything wrong with having 3 productive lines.

Even if Desharnais is an RFA in the summer, he isn't going to cost a whole lot. He can be a consistant 50 pts player.

Habs have far bigger problems like Gionta and Kaberle.

- TimBits

Kaberle will be bought out. Gionta....curious to see if he will stick around or if the will find a way to move him.

You keep DD solely because he will fetch you nothing, absolutely nothing, so why trade the guy that played way over his head who costs nothing to keep? Dumb move, you lose organizational depth that way, injuries happen, and having too many centers, is way worse than not having enough?...
- shinebox

???? Because I said it was a bad thing, right? Come on buddy, get off your high horse. I meant at the end of the year, I don't expect/want it to happen this year.

My point is that, next year when Galchenyuk has a year under his belt, he will be used at center. This means we will have Plekanec, Eller, Chucky, and White as centers. Where does DD fit in? You tell me, genius.

We'll see, but the though of a massive bidding war must have their agents drooling.

Again, where in that post do I say that? Like some people need to learn how to read.

Logjammed does not equal "oozing with talent and depth." It means we have too many natural centers in our lineup right now.

I'm sure teams are jumping on the idea of adding a 5 million dollar winger who's scored 11 goals over the last two seasons.

The only centers who don't play wing are DD and Plek, every other center can play wing also.

Unless DD can be replaced with a skilled center with size, he will be back because he is producing.
