Cole was great last year, but am i the only one who feels he's been brutal this year? We're trading our most lethargic forward for one who is already leading our team in points and it's a lateral move on the ice this year?
- God_then_kovy
I agree, Cole has been awful. The fact Mtl was able to dump him and get a comparable player back is awesome. I just can't say with certainty that Ryder is better than Cole. He might be. |

Cole of last season is a totally different player from Cole of this season. What makes you think he'll regain his form? |

As long as the Habs win games, no one will complain about the coach or GM. |

Cole has sucked, all i'm saying is it sounds like people are talking themselves into Ryder being something he's not. Cole is more physical and better in his own zone. One of the resons for that lines success last year was the space that was crested for DD by Pax and Cole. I'm not saying I dislike the trade, I really like it a lot. But you're not going to convince me that Ryder is better than Cole. - habby

Ryder seemingly always finds a way to produce, and good for him for doing so.
Cole was brutal for the major part of the games played so far but was slowly starting to come around here. I watch more than the stat sheet and Cole is a better rounded player, again, in spite of both player's defensive inabilities. Ryder got smashed last time he was a Hab for fans wanting him to be what he wasn't. If we look at the stat sheet and make this same mistake again, who's fault is that? |

Yeah by laying down on the after losing consciousness because of a hit by Desharnais maybe he'll block a couple of shots/passes. |

Cole's play this year has been even worse than his stats. |
