Cole has sucked, all i'm saying is it sounds like people are talking themselves into Ryder being something he's not. Cole is more physical and better in his own zone. One of the resons for that lines success last year was the space that was crested for DD by Pax and Cole. I'm not saying I dislike the trade, I really like it a lot. But you're not going to convince me that Ryder is better than Cole. - habby
Anybody who thinks this will be disappointed. The win here for the Habs is that it's a move that is pretty darn close to being a lateral one this season, but it's a win moving forward in terms of cap space and getting an additional pick. |

I have no complaints with the trade. I do think it's ridiculous how quickly people have talked themselves into the greatness of Ryder. |

Cole was great last year, but am i the only one who feels he's been brutal this year? We're trading our most lethargic forward for one who is already leading our team in points and it's a lateral move on the ice this year?

Trying to compare Ryder and Cole defensively is about as relevant as someone saying he is richer than you because he finds a nickel on the ground and you only found a penny. Neither one of them gets ice time when the team is leading at the end of a close game. Cole is a better forechecker and physical presence, Ryder is a better sniper. nobody that matters cares about their defensive abilities or lack of. |

I've been told multiple 30 goals seasons makes you an Elite goal scorer.
