Thats sad. Why not as well as? My kids are learning french, the oldest is semi literate in french... the youngest well lets just say he's semi literate.

I can get her into a french first language school, but it's pretty far from me. French immersion really doesn't do much, especially out here. Even myself who makes an effort to speak french with anyone who i encounter that speaks the language rarely has a use for it. I speak more french in a 2 week visit to family than I do the rest of the year. Outside of government purposes, there aren't many uses for the language out here.

It is sad.
