Want to give a shout out to a guy wearing a Staal jersey sitting in section 103 5 rows back from the ice during the Tampa game on sunday. He was with another guy that i assume is his brother. His brother had some kind of physical handicap, that he did not look to have any use of his legs. His brother carried him up and down the steps from what I counted atleast 4 times down and back for drinks food and what I assume was the restroom. His brother looked like he was having the time of his life at the game. Just wanted to say what a great man, makes you really think there is hope for this world after all. I know every person in the section looked at you hoping to be as good of a human being that you are, way to go Section 103 Staal.

I hate the whole thing, specifically the tinkering with the playoff format.

CBJ/NSH to SE, WPG to Central, keep playoff format the same. Done.

- Gunner Staal

I hate that they are changing the playoffs. In my view the NHL playoffs are perfect.

Only thing I'd change is the three division winners getting the guaranteed top 3 seeds. Other than that, perfect.

Just awesome. Gotta love that hockey atmosphere.

Speaking of Carolina, my sister and her husband are going to the pens/canes game on Thursday. He is going to wear his Staal Jersey from the pens. They are fans of both teams (considering he is stationed in NC), but the pens are always #1 lol

That is one of the nicest places to watch a game. At least, I thought so when I lived their 10 years ago. No real traffic headaches, unlike Pittsburgh.

Yeah, i've heard that too. Nothing but respect for Jordan and the canes. I'm not mad at him for wanting to leave. He put his time in here and helped us bring the cup back to the burg. Obviously, he was ready for a bigger role and he wasn't going to get that here riding in the back seat to Sid and Geno. Also, great to see him get the opportunity to play with his brothers.

That kid named Sutter ain't all that bad either lol

Vokoun looks like he's been retired for at least 2 years.

Everytime they interview Eaton he looks like he's dying.

It's been a long long time since last time I put up a good work out

Please guys get off the ROR trade. WTF would we need another center for? Especially one who seems to want 5 mil a year? Not to mention the assets needed to get him. This isn't NHL 13 guys.

Agreed. Btw, anyone seen the video of Beau Bennett receiving the helmet and the puck he scored his goal? Geno is at the door talking to Crosby and looked ok to me. If he was "that" bad I think he would be at home, resting.
It's a more precautionary thing I guess.

I'm sure 75% of the reason him staying home for the road trip is simply precautionary, or I hope

Interesting numbers. Can't remember the last time somebody scored 131 points in an 82 game season.

1995-96... Lemieux had 161 and Jagr had 149.

Mario had 69G 92A, and yes, he missed 12 games
