I can confidently say I never wanted him moved. He is overachieving offensively right now but it's all the little things he did with the Devils that he is starting to do again with the Pens now.

Yeah I don't see the pts continuing but I agree. Things he did the first year with us he is starting to do again. Some of it is that he isn't being asked to do things that he isn't comfortable doing which caused him to make bad decisions and get caught in bad positioning last year.

Martin was never as bad as thought. Really happy to see him doing what we thought he would be doing in a more offensive system like the pens

Oh..no doubt. He was brutal last year. Nice to see him playing better.

As a frequent Martin bad-mouther I will gladly admit to being wrong about him THIS season. He looks like he really learned some things from our early playoff exit last year. Martin has impressed me both offensively and defensively.

Also, I don't think Martin was totally healthy last season. Didn't he have an early shoulder injury or something? He had no strength on passes and had a cream pull for a shot.

Except Martin's first year was pretty good. Unspectacular, but good. No doubt his shot was brutal last year. That last goal was the hardest I've ever seen him shoot the puck. I'll say it again... Ray Shero and Martin himself said he had a horrible year. Can't blame the fans for calling it like they see it.

Edit... I always admire a player when they take ownership and don't make excuses. Then they go about correcting it.

Niskanen and Martin have both looked great all season so far. It's pretty cool that we could honestly see a Team USA Defense that is 50% Penguins in the Olympics next year.

Yep.

I hate Gamecenter. It froze when the two panthers were at the blueline and it didn't start playing again until the next faceoff. Anyone who has ever said that Gamecenter is superior to Center Ice deserves a swift kick in the junk.....so does Letang though.
