For the first time i am thankful NBCsports is not part of my dish package. I agree with you...it'll be a long game. awful decision - gaf92
It would be nice if someone really let Cappy have it for his roster decisions after a game. He's starting to get a little defensive by calling players out yet I still haven't heard him say "we as a coaching staff have to be better". I'm not looking for an Andy Reid type apologist but sheesh, throw us a bone here. We have a player who should be developing in the AHL but instead has spent over a week in the pressbox after decent performances. We have a guy like Okposo who continually see's lengthy icetime despite doing rink turns all night long (upon further review, maybe he doesn't skate well enough for power turns or crossovers). |

you can say that again. At the beginning of each season I always think that is the season we shut everyone up, but it is just leads to major disappointment - kasperrko
in a way it shuts up the people that think Snow is going to do something to make this team better... |

Capuano once again is not a coach and dont know how to address any situation. When he said he dont know what to do to make the team better right then and there I would have let him go. We need some one who is willing to try different things. BEnch players for a period or so if they are not playing right. Reward those who are actually showing hard by more ice time through out the game. Try different line combos. Show a little emotion behind the bench and not let Weight do it all the time. Stop treating these players like babies they are past that stage already. |

At this point that is all that he is worth. I say we might be able to package players and make adecent trade but Garth Snow dont know the meaning of trade or in his case package as he dont have one at all as is obvious |

Dee Karl: Isles vs Bruins on NBCSN 2/26/13
Can they bring it? - Dee Karl
"After the loss to Carolina, I put my fan hat back on and just became disgruntled. How could they blow another lead like that? How could they disappoint the home crowd yet AGAIN? I shook my head and then hung it just as Rick DiPietro had hung his on the bench after his third loss. Shameful."
Keep the faith Dee. Your buddy Garf is going to make some big moves this off season, they will be competing for the cup in no time!

To me it's a logical move at this stage. IF, Snow is hellbent on giving Weight an opportunity to show his stuff as a head coach, now is the time to do it. If he gets the team to show decent improvement, then fine, let the guy have 2013-14 (though I really think we need a proven coach). Weight has the makings of a decent coach in that he's a firey guy, great leader, knows the x's and o's as a thinking man's player and has played in all different types of scenarios. Cappy is simply lost, a passenger keeping the seat warm for his successor |

The problem is, in todays NHL that toughness needs to have skill as well. None of our tough guys are skilled. - keaner17
Or are really that tough for that matter nor are they utilized very often. |

isn't it crazy!!!! you look the way this team has played and you would think theyre in like 15th. Hey, I keep my fingers crossed I obviously want the best for these guys but I just get so god damn pissed when I watch them play like slugs. Just drives me insane - and than when nothing is done about... that really grinds my gears! |

I totally agree they seem to respond when Weight rips into them but when Cappy does they are like yeah whatever. I really think he lost there respect. I really can see that on the bench, It was evident with Gordon and it is evident now. |

Exactly...and at least the team looks to Weight as someone who has some cred. He'll fight for team whereas Cappy seems to stand silent, occasionally dodging pucks (unsuccessfully) |

Problem is they make the playoffs then forget it. Jack will get a 15 year extension and they wont have to make any moves going forward |

Can't wait to see Lucic in the corner with Hickey and martinek hanging on his back like they were his kids. What period do the ice girls come out and scrape martinek off the ice? - Vukota
How many times did Butchie call Martinek, "one tough customer" the last game? I loved when he said be was a big"crease clearer" too. WTF kind of drugs is Butchie taking. I think he got into Snow's stash? |

How about just a simple stop and start instead? It's pure laziness to take a wide, around-the-world turn to skate back on D, which makes Cappy's earlier comments about seeing the effort in KO's play, if not the results, that much more laughable.
I was probably madder than I should have been when they showed him laughing with Ward after he got stopped on a shot in the first, but jeez, KO, at least show a little anger out there instead of yukking it up with the enemy. He's like Pedro Cerrano after he became Buddhist. |

I was right by the glass when he Ko did that to Ward and he apologized to him for being to close in the crease. It was funny we all laughed. He talked to him again after another play and asked him if he was ok after he brushed him |

hahaha i agree...from a game-to-game basis, it drives me nuts as well but at the end of the day no team will ever go undefeated (right chicago?); there are good wins and bad losses; peaks and valleys; highs and lows. the issue with the isles is that if the top line doesnt perform, they wont win; that needs to be addressed. having said that, we ALL knew that was the case before the season started, if some people had realistic expectations of how this team is currently constructed it wouldnt be as infuriating. we ALL agreed before the season started that BEST CASE scenario they fight for the last playoff spot...sounds like the team is on par with expectations. |
