I don't either. He is one of those people that just does'nt do his job, it's obvious. Any chimp could put better line combinations together. Even the ridiculously stupid homers on here can't make excuses for his lack of expertise.

Exactly move Cizkas and MArtin up Grabner should be on a second line. Bury the other clowns down to the fourth line to teach them something. Let them watch. Put Finley back in the line up keep Ullstrom playing and rotate Okposo Bailey and REasoner being benched until they decide to show up for a game. Tortorella benches those who do not play well all the time we reward them with more ice time. Jack is in way over his head and has been since he got the job

Yeah I really think Ciszikas can be something big if used correctly. One thing Jack has no clue about is using his guys strengths in the line up. I really dont think he knows his players that well. Or he is just that stupid

The AHL and NHL are 2 totally different games and I am sick of the minor league play/attitude/acceptance of failure. The post game interviews are full of AHL mentality answers. Improvement this. Some good play that. That is acceptable in the minors where improvment in expected but at this level its BS. Jack-off is clueless, he saw torts call a timeout up by 2 so he figured he would do the same. The Bruins PK is the most agressive I have seen and Jack tried to match it last night. Monkey see monkey do. He himself is still learning on the job. IMO with the exception of Tavares, Martin, Cizikas, there is no fire lit under anyone ass.

The second line powerless play is just disgusting.

How do we expect these guys to better themselves if, when they do perform, they are rewarded with more bench time? You have the horrible Amuc who is d1 on every goal highlight against us, yet he plays top minutes. I'd choose a cone over him, i expect the cone to be skated around constantly.

Why the hell are guys like Reasnor even in the line-up? He can't even skate and one-touch throws the puck to open ice every time (yes he has had a good week, for him). I don't comprehend how he made it to the NHL. Isn't there someone in Bport who could creat some excitement? <--Rhetorical

I agree with everything you said minus Bailey. He has been doing fine. More points would be good but his game has been ok none the less. One of the few guys that keeps skating

Still baffled on the negative Nielsen comments. yes by NHL standards he not a 2nd line centre, but for isles he no question is there 2nd best center.

His stats are quite respectable vs others 2nd liners in league, he is one of better PKers in the league and he is the #1 shootout player in NHL. What more do you want till Strome or Nelson are ready for prime time?

For change i agree with you Kasper , Cizikas is great talent and can be utilzed more, And totally agree that Reasoner and KO are getting way too much ice time. if you down 2 goals, WHY would you ever put REASONER in their to try to tie it.

- Spartiarti

Nielsen is not the problem with the Isles. The isles' problem is the fact that the "D" stinks, with Vis and Hamonic our only decent guys and the same tired fact that KO, Bailey, and others on the second and third lines are putting up absolutely no points. Guys who Snow is relying upon to score are not scoring. Again. Every year, Snow goes into a season expecting guys like Grabs, KO, Bailey, Nielsen, etc. to become big producers, but it never happens. Insanity = doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result.

Everyone knows what you're getting with Nielsen. He's a third-line center who is defensively responsible and great on the PK and in the shootout. Just because he is miscast out of necessity and playing second line is not on him. Teams with real depth would love a guy like Nielsen centering their third line.

In their only two sellouts this season, they lost 2-1 and 7-0. I'm not sure if the size of the crowd is the deciding factor.

I was 3 rows off the glass where the Isles try to shoot at twice and in the 2nd period I watched Lucic stand in front of Nabby on the PP and the Isles avoided Lucic like he had AIDS and was bleeding all over the place. He just sat there like it was a practice.

Oh and look what you did there. Like i said to you yesterday, great minds think alike. You share this opinion with the Likes of Dee Karl and Garth Snow. You are a genius amongst geniuses!

I know you think I'm one of the biggest homers on here... but really I'm just a positive guy.

One day you will figure it out... and say "You know what, Jim was right all along!!!"

I look @ it as.... they are staying in NY.

DP is gone.

They have alot of prospects.

JT is the man.

Things are finally starting to come together!!!

All they need to do now is have your buddy Wang sell the team... and start spending a few extra million.

All good....

I'm still stunned that Bailey actually threw a decent hit on Lucic! This may be a sign to start stocking up on batteries and water!

More stunning was Streit shoving Lucic behind the net and watching Looch fly into the boards and hit the ice. Happened almost right in front of me, my jaw almost hit the floor.

I saw that. I about fell off the couch when I saw who delivered the hit. Streit was furious after the call on him and played with an edge the rest of the game.

But he was eligible to play overseas or to get a skating coach like JT did and work on a glaring deficiency in his game. He chose not to and you see the result. It says a lot about his character and drive that he didn't go overseas or at least stay local and work on his skating game. KO can't skate. Its embarassing for him and the team.

Havent been on here in a while, but i just read this and im laughing because i just had this same conversation with my buddy at the game the other night. The difference between a winner and a loser is exactly what you just wrote. Tavares knew what needed to be worked on, and wasnt just happy to be in the NHL making millions. He wanted to be the best, so he worked on his skating one summer and his shot the next. Both are much improved. Okposo on the other hand is a joke out there. He litereally cannot skate, and his shot misses the net most of the time. Where was he working on his game over the off season? The fact that he was complacent with his game screams I dont care. Quite frankly the fact that he's such a pu$$ie speaks volumes as well. Some guys are just collecting their paychecks and couldnt care less about winning. Really pretty sad

Some NHL Trade Rumors:

A lot of talks going on in the NHL right now here are some important updates:

The O’Reilly situation has seen some recent developments over the last few days. Sens still the favorite to get him, Habs also still interested. None of these 2 teams is willing to pay the price asked by Colorado at this point. However, there are 2 new players that jumped in the sweeps. Sabres are very interested in O’Reilly and are rumored to be offering Stafford. The Rangers are said to be discussing a BLOCKBUSTER with Colorado centered around Del Zotto and O’Reilly…. Things are expected to HEAT UP!

Sabres are being very active; shopping Stafford and also discussing with Blues in regards to Oshie and berglund. St.Louis is rumored to be highly interested in Myers.

Other than O’Reilly Sens are also said to be interested in Whitney and Weiss. Both these players are expected to move prior to the deadline.

Panthers are also shopping Mueller, who is attracting interest from several teams. Leafs have inquired about Theodore.

I hate the NVMC. it's no " home ice advantage". It's a half empty dump with more opponents fans inside than Isles fans (a slight exaggeration). I hope when they move to BKlyn the opponents fans don't go too. It's embarrassing to see all the opponents fans sitting around the glass at an isles "home game".

Can we please throw this theory out? It's just one of many excuses management uses to explain themselves being inept at their job. Humoring them makes fans look stupid(not referring to you). These players need to earn respect from their fanbase at this point, we've all witnessed far too many games when they have mailed it in. Everyone just has to try to imagine being paid millions to play hockey in front of thousands of people. Who would'nt love to do that!?!?!? My job though being extremely rewarding I would have a hard time imagining playing like these guys do? It makes zero sense to me? Really think about that. We all bust our butts(I'm assuming I know)and wake up every day to do whatever it is we do and I'll bet if we didn't show up like these guys do as often as they do we'd be on the unemployment line in a heart beat. That goes for management as well as the players. There is no excuse for these guys to not show up as consistently as they do. Sold out or not. Enough of this BS. They are a bunch of losers until proven otherwise. in professional sports "want" supercedes talent I'd say 80% of the time. These guys don't WANT to win. Not in the sense of the word or definition I'm referring too. They don't know how(coach, management, team should be showing them)or they truly don't want too?
