If McNabb was so good why is he getting passed up by other D men to be called up? Darcy should have made a deal already to ship out D men to get him up here but he hasn't. Brennen and McNabb aren't ready yet. - SABRES 89

It's been the same old song again my friend - Irish 14
and it will continue to be, until we get a GM in here that has no ties to these players and stops holding them high on a pedestal, things won't change.

Lindy Ruff, fired as coach of the Buffalo Sabres last week, and Phil Housley played together in Buffalo for eight seasons. Both were extremely popular there. It wouldn't be surprising if Housley, the former South St. Paul High School star who this winter coached the U.S. junior national men's hockey team to a gold medal in the world championships in Russia, gets interest from the Sabres, if not to succeed Ruff, then as an assistant next season. - Irish 14
Everything that I've read about Housley is that he's happy where his is. He'll take the short tourneys for the experience and national pride and so on, but he isn't looking to come back to the pro game. His name gets thrown out there a lot, which kinda helps cement that thought. If he wanted to be an assistant, wouldn't someone have picked him up by now?

thats what I want to know..... - Sabres2012CUP
I'm hoping that they want him to stay playing big minutes instead of 6/7th D here. Keep him away from whatever sickness/madness/plague has infected this team.
Love it. Thought he was over rated during the season. Wouldn't touch this guy in the 2nd round. Although Vontaze Burfict was undrafted and turned out pretty good.

Bet we take Barkov - JCSabs06
I don't really know much about him, but a few people have mentioned he's going to be a good player. Pretty much anyone in the top 10 is going to be a "can't miss" kind of guy.
