thats what i was saying in the off-season! yeah Kane's off ice shenanigans may be a concern but the product on the ice is pretty consistent. more so than any sabre in recent years.

The problem with Kane in Buffalo right now is that Chicago sent a clear message to him that they don't stand for that kind of shenanigans, and made him get his act together. If Kane came to Buffalo, and told him to get his act together, he wouldn't take the Sabres seriously, nor should he.

They're going to trade people because it's become ugly. There should have been a shake up a long, long time ago. They'll establish another group of players, and stick with them way too long when it doesn't work.

The off-ice behavior of guys like Connolly, Stafford, Roy, and Myers (yes, Myers...I learned over the weekend, and have it on good authority that the Sabres have somehow done a phenomenal job of keeping some off ice incidents out of the spotlight) were tolerated for far too long.

I like Kane a lot as a hockey player.... I trade for him very often in games..

I dont think Ryan O'Reilly helps the Sabres. He is young, inexperienced 2nd line center. WE already have 2 of those in Ennis a Hodgson. If we land ROR it will be good, but he wont make this team a playoff contender. WE will wait 2 or three years before he is ready to be a line 1 player.
