Sure, neither is Vanek I suppose. I think if you are picking players to keep those would be my 4 wingers. I would also keep Ehrhoff and Myers only because you can't move those contracts.

I think this team will be lucky to win 15 games this season.. we are already at a point of no return and the trade deadline isn't even until April.

I don't think we see any big trades happen until closer to the deadline in order to drive up the price on guys like Pommer, Vanek, Miller, Stafford, Sekera, or maybe even Myers...

I guess I could see something small before then.

If Darcy continues to make small trades for improvement instead of trades for the future.. I think we will continue to circle the toilet for years to come until he is Fired.

I am all for letting the kids play to gain experience... If we can flip Vanek for another 1st rounder this year.. I would take it... to resign Vanek who is already at 7+M per season would be ridiculous... Miller is going to leave for the west coast any way so I would trade him for a youth goalie. Pommer and Myers are the guys I want to stay and build around.

Just depends.. if it is for a top 10 1st rounder then that is the focus of the trade... but I bet we could trae Vanek if he starts getting hot again... for a decent top 6 player and a 15+ 1st rounder...

Richards and Carter both got a top 6 winger in Voracek and Simmonds in addition to first rounders and i think Vanek is every bit as valuable as they were.

I listed it on the last page... I like Pommer as a vet in our top 6.. I don't like pommer as our main offensive threat or as a captain...

he is an all-around player.. he plays hard.. he plays offense and defense.. he is one of our best PK'ers.. he doens't make waves with the media.. he still scores 60+ points every season.. he hasn't really shown the signs of being 30 years old if you ask me.

would you agree that when they took him off the 1st line with Stamkos and St Louis that is when he went down hill.. his confidence.. his stats.. his play all suffered from being stuck on a line with the likes of Prospol, Malone, Downie, and a schmuck...

he sitll has close to 100 hits every season.. he his huge.. he is good on the dot.. he is only 32.. and he even fights for his teammates...
