My thoughts...

The first goal was scored by one of the top offensive players in the game...Maybe Bryz should have had it but sometimes a great player will make a great shot.

It would be nice if Couturier , Talbot or Briere did something offensively.

I would much rather see Harry Z, McGinn and maybe Wellwood in there over Knuble and Feds.

Jake and Giroux continue to be the studs of this team and I think having Hartnell back, may be the heart , will make them even better coming up.

Barkan needs to be punched in the face

The missed call on the puck play with broken stick was bad

Rinaldo has turned into a solid player.

Rinaldo. And that's pretty much it. Pretty sad.

Exactly. You aren't going to win poop with 4 forwards working hard.

An aging #1 d-man, and the rest of a d-core that lacks creativity and is streaky as hell for the most part.

Frustrating times indeed but I do believe with some smart moves in the summer this team can be solid. As always, a lot depends on Bryzgalov.

To me this isnt even about defensive zone coverage. Before the 3rd period began they gave up 2 goals.

Even all the bad defensive coverages this season. They happen because they dont back-check hard, or simply lose battles.

Aside from Giroux, Hartnell, Voracek who consistently pushed the pace tonight? Who was skating hard with any consistency?

- flyer_nutter

I see knuble, Feds, talbot, briere skating hard out there. Just Bc they are skating hard doesn't mean they can get the job done collectively. These players have all lost a step. Not so much talbot he is just awful

This teams checking game, from the offensive zone, to the neutral zone, and in it's own end, is a major issue. With the offensive talent this team has. Only giving up 2 goals through 2 periods. They should be in control of the game. Toronto controlled the pace of the game tonight.

Just watching some Corey Perry vids on Youtube.

Holy poop, is that the fire this team needs. Imagine Hartnell-Giroux-Perry.

Hypothetically speaking I'm not so sure I wouldn't run Perry on your second line and keep Jake there..

One can dream.

It's really the last place I want to go. But every game I'm leaning more and more in that direction.

I'm at the point where I'm apathetic about the coach. Don't care if it's Laviolette or Paddock or Murray

What do you mean? jw

I do believe they need to adjust better when teams play the kind of game Toronto played tonight.

Personally I am starting to see it as a bigger issue, instead of systems or approaches to how the game should be won. They lack basic fudamentals, starting with a good work ethic.

Look at the replacement options tho. Murray, Keenan or ...Ruff.

Bad positioning. He needs to come out and take away the angle. He was back in the net.

Just a hypo, mind you.

If the Flyers do move Briere, do they consider buying out Breeze if they miss the PO's?

Stop the bryz hating he's been our best player if it wasn't for him we would be the worst team in the league

I'd actually prefer Ruff over Murray or (especially) Keenan.

Never thought I'd say that.

I don't pin this loss on that goal as much as its the fact that Couturier, Briere, Talbot, Feds and Knuble are basically useless on offense right now.

I still doubt they buy out Bryzgalov before 2014.

That said, who knows?
