Thats what happens when you accept the fact that the other team is trying to put you to sleep.

Horrific goal.

Weak as hell and Timonen was doing nothing.

Mike Gartner scored 708 goals in his career. Are you arguing that he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame?
- MJL

Under the current criteria, he most certainly is.

What I am saying is that if I ran the circus, he wouldn't be.

My problem with the HHOF is that it rewards longevity above sheer talent.

Like Gartner. Like McDonald.

Two more examples: does Cujo belong in the HHOF? Many think he does: top 5 in wins. But imho, he's a tier below. He was great, but he never was the best in the game

And one more example: Lindros.

There are many who think he shouldn't get the call - he was injured too much, his career was too short.

Too me, it's simple: for a period of time, he was the most complete player in the game. He could hurt you - literally and figuratively.

Can you possibly tell me you'd take Mullen or Gartner over Lindros?

Soft goals are starting to creep back. Simply can't allow that kind of goal.

Can't even imagine what would happen if his play continues like this and the buyout talk starts to swirl.

They were the better team for most of that period but they fell asleep for a couple of minutes there and now down by 1.

Something to keep an eye on for sure.

Every goaltender will have a bad stretch, but that kind of goal makes you cringe.

He needs to be consistent.

Maybe he is getting lost in the woods again... Buyout talks would happen if that continues.

He's played pretty well lately and they made Clemensen look good so why not him?

The Vezina is going to a Canucks goalie.

Ask anyone in the Esplen thread.

Bryzaster is slowly coming back....Scrivens is letting up a lot of rebounds just need to start throwing some shots on net. On bryz too I think the Flyers are purposely playing him a ton. Its been said Bryz plays better when he is the workhorse so to take that excuse away the Flyers are obliging if he fails then they know he isnt the answer in net especially at that price.

I would say I agree with you in principle. But then insert one caveat, 708 goals is 708 goals. No matter how long you played that is pretty damn impressive.

Brown is equally good with either hand in fights, not sure McGinn was aware of it & he paid for it.
