I'm guessing that Holmgren would like a mulligan.

That's exaclty what I was thinking of Hartnell driving everyone (suck it Phaneuf!) in front of the TO net bonkers. This will help. Scrivens hasn't been horrible but up and down. He hasn't seemed like a game stealer IMO.

If they can sustain the offensive pressure they did against NYI, PIT, WPG, they should be fine. Just got to be responsible at the other end,

Think we have had it bad with the sched? The Oilers are about to go on a 9 game road trip and start in Chi town who are unbeatable (actually play them twice on the same road trip). LOL

I'd love to see Schenn plaster JVR at the end of a 5-1 win... exclamation point from us Flyers fans.. (we spend a 2nd pick on you after the season from hell and now you decide to turn into a player?)

This Blackhawks poop is getting annoying. Doing this with Ray Emery and Corey Crawford. (frank)ing joke.

We may have ended up with a better player from that draft in Voracek.

Self absorbed and entitled. He's the anti Bernie Parent.

i "met" danny briere yesterday at the skatezone in pennsauken. he was signing autographs for some kids. seemed like a very nice guy. i just said hello and let him leave. i wasn't going to give him any crap or act like a fanboy, in part because i'm older than he is. he's also bigger in person in street clothes than i imagined. he seems smaller on the ice.

I just hope they don't get to 35 games and surpass our streak.

Edit: of note, I still say the record for goalie wins is held by Parent and not Brodeur.

Now the guys in Toronto are playing Friday's Bryzgalof interview and having a good laugh.

Both Leafs goalies have benefitted from Carlyle's more defensive approach.

I'm a little scared about this game, to be honest. Saturday night was so soul-crushing, it's going to be very important that the Leafs bounce back.

If they don't, it could be a slippery slope.

don't worry. patrick sharp, patrick kane, and duncan keith will all be injured during the conference finals and they'll get swept by the new jersey devils for the cup.

if any team were to send the leafs down a slippery slope, it would be the flyers. historically speaking.

it was weird watching emery and niemi duel against one another the other night, with emery and carbomb in hawks uniforms. kind of twilight zonish. i do wonder what would have happened in 2010 had emery not sustained that bizarre necrosis injury. i don't particularly like the way he plays, but he's clearly talented and i give him a lot of credit for battling back to reclaim his career.
