I bookmarked this one the other night. I think he was asked, "What do you know about hockey?"

No, I did not watch any hockey last night. I watched the Second Doctor Who special, as was discussed by MOAT and me here on this very thread.

Really. Can't stand Edwards. That was a pretty sick move by Lurch. Didn't know he had that in his bag of tricks.

Has anyone noticed during locker room interviews Panaccio constantly squinting? Am I imagining this? I would think someone else would have noticed.

It explains his analysis of the games.....

Why would any GM want or need to scout a role-playing 12-year NHL veteran in person three times in 10 days (especially when he already would have recent reports from his pro scouting staff at his disposal anyway)?
- bmeltzer

I believe this is deduction, which is very intelligent and therefore totally unnecessary when covering the sport of hockey.

I was just thinking the same thing about the arena cam post-game interviews. Not one interesting or insightful question or answer has ever been uttered in one of those interviews. They are a complete waste of time. I channel surf or take a whiz during them now.

- Scoob

The intermission interviews were an absolute waste of time for about 20 years - but I'll give Eliott Friedman and Cassie Campbell credit - they've at least started asking some questions that require actual answers.

At least hockey will never be as bad as the end of the 1st half football coach interviews.

"So coach, your team is down by 48 points at the half. You haven't got a first down, you haven't stopped the other team once, your special teams have been abysmal. What do you have to do in the second half to turn it around?"

"Our offence needs to find a way to start moving the ball. And our defence has to make plays. And we need to limit our mistakes on both sides of the ball."

"Thanks coach."

Welp, the new CBA is working great. John Erskine is now a $2mm a year player in the NHL.

A bargain. He's at least twice the player Shelley is.
