Has anyone else thought about our roster for 2014-2015 and how we could be screwed?
Van, Pom, Miller are all going to be UFA's
Van prolly stays bc hes already cashed in big time, miller bolts bc hes miller....and I can see Pom chasing top dollar just because. Idk...our problems kinda seem to be in the here and now so I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there

Out of the 3, I see Pommer being the one that would stay.

Hasn't crossed my mind.
IMO Vanek pulls a Hossa and takes a stab for a cup and signs a one yr on the cheap.
Miller says trade me right (frank)ing now soon if he hasn't already.
Hey guys, serious question. If you could say one thing to the Sabres locker room right now what would it be?
Me, I would tell them they suck, they aren't fooling anyone. But remind them they are entertainers. Pro Hockey is entertainment. Winning and scoring goals is the obvious answer to that. But since you guys can't do that, ask yourself. What can I do to entertain right now? Hit? Fight? Trash talk? Hog the puck and make selfish play? Where is the selfishness and independent desire to succeed? - Buffalo--Sabres
I would tell them no matter what they are still getting paid very nicely!
Go out and play, earn your money, you freaking bums!
Look, No matter what happens, I have to perform at my job, or else, I will be fired!
All this BS about they are not mentally tough enough is a bunch of horse crap!
If I was making the type of money these losers were making, trust me, I will be very mentally tough!!

Love the hands and everything but I really love how he was willing to take the hit/dish out a hit to continue the play. He doesn't appear to lack the drive or compete level.

Why are we screwed? Trade em all, plenty of top prospects can be had for these three. No reason not to believe we couldn't get a handful of NHL ready prospects the likes of Brayden Schenn for instance.

Meanwhile, Mikhail Grigorenko continues to sit and watch...
Because the kid hasn't done sh!t, Garth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He hasn't earned top-six anything. He looks slow, timid and hasn't won one damn battle along the boards.
Watch Yakupov, Galchenyuk and a whole bevy of other rookies, and you'll see confidence, speed through the neutral zone, and a willingness to battle for pucks.
Grigo has shown NONE OF THAT. ZERO. ZILCH.
Stop drooling over this kid until he actually shows he has a set of stones. Until then, it's all just hype and promise.

Wicked, just wicked, the skill, but like you said the way he initiated the hit to keep the play going, I don't there is 1 player on this team capable of anything like that.

I am hoping it's Vanek.
I would love for it to be Miller but I feel sorry for him. He is the one true leader this team has that does not deserve what is going on here.
I would follow and root for Miller to win a Cup once he leaves.
Darcy and Lindy I hope win a Cup life after Buffalo.

Pommer and Vanek stay if a resonable contract extension comes their way. Miller is gone unless the Sabres significantly overpay him. - RynoBull
I can see Vanek staying if the other 2 leave, he seems like a family guy who doesn't really care about being in the spotlight or leaving to get huge money. IMO Pominville leaves first contrary to what everyone else thinks. I have a feeling if they trade for ROR or someone else and they get a new head coach, that coach might want to get new leadership and pick a new captain, might be easier just to trade Pominville instead of demoting him and then trying to resign him
