Yeah, I got a new job. It's a lot of 9-10 hour days and they don't let you sit around on the internet all day. It's great for me because I'm getting paid better and I actually like being at work now, but I can't be here all day to moderate.

With Howard back, the Wings should put up a good fight. Hopefully, the Canucks have recovered from the back-to-backs and gotten a good nights sleep. I might need an afternoon nap if it's anything like the game in Nashville.

- micah555

OK Micah, wanna bet our locations for a week on this game?

Seattle is one of the biggest cities(population-wise) in North America so it makes sense to try it if they have the arena ready and a good ownership group willing to buy the team there They would ave a good rivalry with Vancouver and the est of the NW pus the Pacific teams if they have a decent team themselves. Quebec would definitely make a ton of money, as would a second Toronto team. I'd rather see those 3 new teams rather than teams franchises like Phoenix and Florida struggling every year(IMO one Florida team is enough).

3.5m in the surrounding area, but only 620k in the city itself. They lost franchises before, so it would have to be well managed. They won't be a dependable market like a Canadian team or anything. Still, they'd sell out Canuck games for sure.

Yeah ownership would have to be key, but the Seahawks fans are some of the most passionate fans in the NFL so they definitely have the potential to be a great NHL city.

Thanks! My wife is actually pregnant with our 2nd child, so a new job that pays mo' money was very necessary. Her job doesn't pay enough to put 2 kids in daycare, so it'll be 1 income for a couple of years at least.

What kind of quote did you have in mind? Would I need to post something about how great the Oilers are if the Wings beat us?

Yeah ownership would have to be key, but the Sounder fans are some of the most passionate fans in the MSL so they definitely have the potential to be a great NHL city.
- Nucker101

Fixed, the Seahawks have nothing on the Sounders who have a huge number of fans actually travel with the team to games with Portland, Vancouver, LA and San Jose. If they got that type of management and marketing, it would work as the Thunderbirds, Silvertips and Tri-Cities Americans all sell out their arenas and are within 50 miles of DT Seattle.

See the Kes of old? So you mean back to the epic diving? Will we get to see the "Kesler somersault" like we saw in the last playoffs?

lol, you've got to love McCarty's passion, trying to knee and kick Lemieux when he's on the ice. I don't remember that, but I'm sure it was a response to the hit on Draper.

The Hawks guy deserves a suspension no doubt, as does Clowe for coming off of the bench (the rule is there to prevent utter chaos from happening, which it would have in this case I'm sure).

Jannick Hansen's suspension was fair and could have been more...either that or he is either blind or has no feeling in his hands and cannot catch. Totally intentional smack to the back of Hossa's head (Hossa annoys me to no end and I'd like to smack him too).

And before you start, Taylor Hall's suspension also well deserved. There was no intent on Hall's part, but he has to control his body just as one has to control their stick.

Jannick Hansen is a douche, just look at him. haha

I'm thinking more about how great the Wings are or something proclaiming us the winner. Nothing dirty or sick, just friendly bet. "Wings and Shooter #1" or "Micah schooled me and I love the Canucks" sort of deal.

Congrats again

Sounds like the Micah household will be a busy place—I can definitely see that the mod gig falls pretty low on the priority list.

You'd best believe that if the job ever fell to me, those characters would be dealt with in an appropriate manner.

Psht you would just give them a month ban see what I would do is give a 24 hour ban to give them hope and not make a second account then before they get unbanned ban them for a week, then a month, then a year.

That's the current Kes. The Kes of old also scores 41 goals while winning the Selke.....and also dives...

Was that really the worst incident this year?

- IanEsplen

It is suppose to be aitomatic ,no grey area. You leave the bench during a brawl it is 10 games

Yah but it shouldn't be.

Maybe if the NHL let it happen there would be less cheap plays and less Shanny.

Shanny- 10 games for trying to steal my thunder and do my job better than me.

- IanEsplen

If the NHL let it happen there would be bench clearing brawls like the old days.
