People were giving you bad looks because you were chanting Snow Must Go? I have no idea what to say to that. Going back to that interview how can Snow after years being a player and GM still look uncomfortable with interviews?
- ses111

Well it is because he has no clue what he is doing. He did not Wang feeding him what to say. I swear he calls up other GMs and they laugh at him over the phone and hang up. This team is just I dont know how to say it horrible. JT doing everything and everyone else not even breaking a sweat cause they dont have to. Honestly they are just not that good and again any other team they would be in the AHL or over seas.

YEah people were getting upset over it. I think most fans expect to lose. I have never seen a team fan base where they know what the outcome is going to be before the game starts. I talked to quite a few and they knew they would last night. That is pretty bad

I guess so. Its just so frustrating to watch. That interview with snow was brutal.
- Isles72

Yeah he looked like a complete ass. He could not even answer the questions right. Does not know Boyes s nota power forward. Then sending DP down to regain his all star form. I never laughed so hard

This team cannot win more than two in a row so last night was no shock. Snow was a hockey player and he is an educated man. He should be much better than this. I can understand having a rough start after the first year or two especially with no GM backround but he does not seem to have improved.

Nope he has been the GM for a while now and nothing has changed what so ever. Any other normal NHL team GArth would have been out the door fast. Charles Wang though loves the guy so we the fans are screwed

Okposo sucks giant cock.... lost count of how many turnovers last night. The guy is just plain awful, clearly needs to be sent down or traded. Disgrace.

I would of played Nabby last night. You ride your hot goalie, especially when your coming off a giant losing streak. Capuano again not doing the smart thing behind the bench. The team plays better when Nabby is in, more confidence.

I thought they were going to win last night. I figured their game plan would have been get the lead going into the third and defend, try to keep your legs. Five games in seven nights is just too much for them and it showed. Those two goals in the second period were just awful.

I can understand wanting to play Nabby but Nabby has not been great with the back to back games. The problem is as long as guys like Bailey, KO, Frans and Aucoin give you nearly nothing on offense this team will have trouble keeping a winning streak going.

did you say this before the game started? how about after the first 30 minutes of the game?..... or is this just having hindsight to work with?

Right. I also think too much blame is being placed on Poulin. There are much bigger problems than goaltending with the Isles. The coach again called out his team after the game. How are there not big changes today after that brutal loss?

this is pretty much spot on...which is why ive been saying to trade guys like KO, Neilsen, grabner...all replaceable. all talented. most (read btwn the lines) will get back a nice return, especially if packaged.

I'm just about all out of hope for Bailey too. I get it, he's a playmaker...well then he needs to be put on a line with finishers....either that or he's gotta go. Aucoin sucks, AMac has been pretty bad, and I know I'm gonna get crap for my next 2 opinions, but Hamonic has been mediocre at best all year, and Reasoner, although he will never score, has actually been playing pretty well (as a bottom 6 guy) since returning from being scratched.

I have no problem trading these guys. Grabner I like more than Fran and KO be he is not untouchable. A decision has to be made. Isles either need a new coach or they need to trade some of thes players. Doing nothing is not cutting it anymore.

Agreed, calling a spade a spade. AMAC and him have not been a good tandem at all. Especially AMAC

As Garf has proven before no it doesn't. Trading Grabner would be a mistake, he's the best PK'er we have and put him on a line with someone besides Okposo, Acoin, or some other pos and watch his points go up. We can't afford to trade guys like him, especially when we have problems getting any kind of quality anything on this team. Also, they need both a new coach and to trade some of their players. With that said I'll go out on a limb and guess neither will happen, we are talking about Garf here. He doesn't do much.

No way I would give Graber away that is for sure. I think there is a decent chance we get a new coach. That will most likely be Weight or Thompson. I do not like the chances of a trade.

He called out the team!! If I was the Islanders I would call him out for stopping there momentum last night after he calls a time out when they are ahead 2 - 0 with 4 minutes left in teh first period

Poulin simply can't let that 2nd goal in. It was (frank)ing awful and set the tone for the rest of the game. Going up 2-1 into the 3rd is much different than it being tied. I don't disagree for a minute that there are other problems on this team but goaltending has been a big one. How many times ever do you see the isles score a goal like Carolina's second goal? Almost never.

Poulin didn't lose that game last night. The Isles were carrying play and after the Hurricanes tied it, the skaters just folded. Regardless of who's in goal, the skaters need to show some resilency and deal with a team coming back on them. Up two goals with two minutes left in the second at home? You can't lose that game.

Enough with this tired line. Its a sad line used by Bailey apologists. Its year five of the Bailey experiment. There are more excuses out there for why he doesn't produce than actual points Bailey's put up. Good players find ways to get on the score sheet. Bailey doesn't find the score sheet, nor does his buddy KO. They both suck and neither guy can be depended upon for any production.

come on!!! im not a cappy apologist but this is totally a tuesday morning quarterback comment. its VERY easy to coach when you know the result.

if anyone complained about the timeout that was called, mind you, to rest the top PP unit which has been incredibly productive, in hopes to get them rest, go up 3 goals and stomp on the hurricanes throat then i dont know what youre watching.

Exacly right. Both Bailey and KO were high picks. They need to show a lot more than this. No more excuses.
