WoW... lots of whiners on here tonight...

It's almost embarrassing reading through the comments!!!

Win...Lose... Keep on Crying...

If you're happy with the way things went last night, you should be on the 20-man roster. You'd fit in perfectly.

Forget the playoffs then because if you're going to count on 3rd and 4th line guys it's going to be a long road. The Islanders roster is made up of 2 top 3 forwards and the rest are 3/4th line players. The defense is mediocre at best and goaltending is average.
- kear20

i agree but even with average goaltending and a mediocre defense they could compete if they had some secondary scoring

You can talk about the dearth in talent or the ability of the coach, but this team's biggest problem is inconsistency. To go up to Montreal and win, then to win in a dominating fashion in Buffalo, only to come home and lose to Carolina, with their injury issues and coming off a three game slide, is unacceptable. If you can't win at home, you can't expect to make the playoffs. For two periods, the Isles were playing well. They get scored on twice in two minutes, then fall apart. It just shows how fragile the mentality of this team is.

Another whiner, huh?

As a fan, and I'm sure Capt will agree with me because he was posting during the game with me, you get a sense almost exactly when this team packs in the tent and says goodnight. Basically, they all look to JT and he cant put up 3 or 4 points a night. Frankly, its unfair to him for his teammates to expect that. They get smacked in the face and they stick their tail between their legs and slink away.

And, God forbid, put Okposo in the press box. For the very least, to make an example to the rest of these guys.

Was at the game last night and Okposo seeing him up close is useless. His face expressions alone you can tell. He is horrible so was Bailey Aucoin Nielson just to name a few. I have no voice yet after blowing my top after stupid Capuano (worst coach in the league) calls a time out with 4 minutes left and a 2 - 0 lead. I went nuts. I knew they would lose after that. It is like he wants this team to lose like they tell them guys we are playing to good lets calm down. I was going so ballistic I Was asked to calm down by the guys behind me.

I was sitting right by the glass and when Okposo skated by I screamed at him he gave me a glance once but he knows he sucks and the coach keeps him out there like the dimwit he is. I made lots of friends though as guys were saying I was right about Capuano. He does not know how to win. this whole team dont know how to win. JT has the thrive after that I am not to sure of it. If this was a normal NHL team half the guys out there would be either in the AHL or overseas at this point, but we are the cheap useless Islanders and this is exactly what Wang and Snow want.

Potvin it's scary how often this team goes into a fetal position. Jack basically called out his team for a lack of passion and grit for about the third time already this year. I'm glad it's not a full season. If JT and Moulson do not score you can forget it. Guys like Frans, KO, and Bailey give you next to nothing on offense. We can talk about the backup goalie or the starting goalie and that's not the issue.

this team even though at the cusp of playoffs they are not to far behind, have more issues than they had since year one of the rebuild. Jack Capuano is a total idiot who has no clue how to coach a NHL team

not looking to start shat but since you "missed the game" your previous posts are negated. Specifically the "whining" references. That being said, Poulin is DP reincartated. We need scoring by someone NOT named Tavares or Moulson

If the Isles cared at all about winning they would hire Ruff right now. If Snow does not want to trade KO and Bailey bring in Ruff to see if he can get anything out of them. While the Isles have build up the prospect pool after seeing the likes of KO and Bailey I have real concerns these players will work out. The Isles have invested in these prospects why not give them a good coach?

True the 4th line has done well but in terms of real difference makers it's JT, Moulson, and Nabby.

I dont know how some of you get gitty over a little winning streak, and think it will continue.....the team lacks talent, and defense, and goaltending....barely no one on this team can check anyone, and thats a problem.

Please sit back and look at reality, THIS TEAM is NOT THAT GOOD!!!!!!!

Exactly we havea first line who has played well and the fourth line. Grabner is the only guy on teh other two lines who does anything. that is bad when your fourth line plays better then your second and third line together. But Capuano will bench Ullstrom and put in REasoner. He will continue to throw Okposo out there even though he is useless. Jack is the worst coach ever and does not know hoe to get anything from his guys at all

I guess the Isles need to showcase Reasoner. Teams are going to be lining up around the block for him. The Isles either need to bring in a coach that can get to the likes of KO and Bailey or trade them. Trade KO and Bailey for other struggling young players at this point if you have to. Just do not keep the same coach and keep playing KO and Bailey. Do something different.

Problem is Garth has no clue what he is doing and he proved that the other night with his interview with Howie. When he was asked about a power forward all he kept saying was that Boyes was playing fine. I dont know if Garth even knows what a power forward is but Garth is your typical jock. He is stupid and has no clue. He is very arrogant and someone needs to tell him that his team he put together is a huge FAILURE!!

That interview was just painful and explained the mess we are in perfectly. Howie was talking about a skilled big guy for JT's line and Snow is going on about Carkner and Bolton.

Yeah at this point Snow is just comical and people still support him. Last night after the game walking through the hall my brother and I were chanting Snow Must GO and people were like giving us bad looks. If anyone thinks that Garth has done a good job well then they need there heads examine, Most of our fans have accepted losing just like Garth, Jack and Mr. Wang

Yep. I'm a big fan of Grabner this year too. Even after being put on this awful line with Reasoner and Okposo, he's still creating his own chances, remaining noticeable, and even scoring, as he did yesterday (edit -- I think it was actually Saturday...I dvr'd that one and watched both games yesterday, so they're blending together).

I still believe this team is better than it's played if we actually ice our best lineup and create lines that don't look like they're designed to intentionally limit players' effectiveness.

Someone explain to me who of KO and Reasoner is supposed to be threading stretch passes to Grabner? What, exactly is Aucoin's purpose on the second line (don't have a problem with him in a bottom-six role...but second line?)...the Isles were actually getting at least some secondary scoring before with Grabner-Nielsen-Boyes and McD-Aucoin-Ullstrom. I'm not saying use those lines exactly, but at least consider why they were working better than the second and third lines now and adjust from there...

People were giving you bad looks because you were chanting Snow Must Go? I have no idea what to say to that. Going back to that interview how can Snow after years being a player and GM still look uncomfortable with interviews?
