third goal was entirely on boyes. Coasted the whole way back and 'surprisingly' was unable to block the pass across to the wide open Hurricane. To say that was a pissy effort would be too kind.

One mistake like that and two crappy soft goals was all she wrote. Glad to see the Isles give yet another player his first NHL goal. Game winner too.

The second and third lines are absolutely useless. Aucoin kills any opportunity that Bailey and Franz create and on the third line...well, KO is crap.

We have a good energy line and a good first line. Nothing else.

- Isles_since_6

Correct. We'll thats one more line than we had last year

His rebound contol is terrible.

The team stopped skating, yeah he let in a softy but they lost this game because the team stopped skating and gave it to the shatty Canes on a silver platter. The Isles are not winners in the true sense of the word. they don't have a killer instinct, they sit back and let the other team get back into it. that's how you lose. Poulin was not the difference tonight. Not saying he's our saviour either I'm not convinced of that believe me but tonights loss was a team effort. They all sucked the last 35 minutes or so

I am sorry I have been saying it from the beginning poulin is not the answer.

Goaltender was awful tonight....his fault....period. They deserved better. The second goal was atrocious. He has happy feet, just like the jack*ss they just sent to Bridgeport. You are bigger than most of the other players on the ice- stand still and stack the pads. I still think he has more potential than DiPietro (needless to say), and I think he can be a decent goalie, but tonight he was awful.

That said, Moulson needs to block that shot on the third goal. If your D is going to pinch, and you are going to cover, then you have to play defense as if you were a defenseman. That also said, if Nabokov plays goal tonight, they win, 2-1. Only the first goal was a lucky bounce, and E. Staal is a great player. Neither of the other two should have gone in.....end of story. Nabokov needs to play 90% of the games from here on out, if they are to have a shot.

PS- if you can't get past a defensemen behind the net, Okposo, it's time to go to the weight room......and the seats, until you're finished with the weight room.

Exactly right. This loss has nothing to do with Poulin. The first goal was a bad bounce and the third was a breakdown on D. It has to do with guys like KO, Bailey, Aucoin, and Reasoner that bring nothing to the team. It also has to do with a soft overall team and lousy coach.

If you want to blame the backup playing his first NHL game this year...I really don't know what to say.

I would like to have a team that has a goalie that is atleast average. If poulin is our future we are in trouble

I was just saying I don't blame him for tonight. I really don't know what we got with him.

Jack going off about no passion. Where are the changes Jack? Why not sit KO? Get you GM to make changes.

I do not get the Poulin blame tonight? The 2nd goal was bad but the first goal was a lucky bounce and the third was a shot from in close. Where is the blame to guys like KO and Bailey? Boston is next so here comes another losing streak.

I agree this is Snow's team. It seems it was also Snow call to send DP down. I doubt Wang told him to do it so maybe Snow has more power than people think. Time for Snow to stop hiding behind the Wang is cheap excuse.

With ko and bailey we know they are both useless. Guys like JT and MM scoring game after game makes it possible to win with a good goalie. Nabby is good but not great and poulin is bad and DP is terrible. We are at the point where we should trade for a true number one. I do not think poulin is the answer.

JT and Moulson scoring is not enough. It's too much pressure on them and the goalies. The Isles can win with Nabby. They cannot win with KO, Bailey, Aucoin and others being in the lineup giving the team nothing. Goaltending is not the biggest issue. Coaching and too many soft players with no passion is the issue.

Moulson SHOULD HAVE blocked the third goal, like I said- but Poulin pulled a DP on that one....he paid more attention to trying to drop to the ice than he did to getting his glove in position to make the save. We had a goalie last year who did that WAY TOO often....I think he plays in Winnipeg now, if I remember correctly. Personally, I think this kid will be a good goalie, but he had a bad game, and he looks like he's been learning some cr*p from someone.....I wonder if Sudsie got anywhere near him before he moved on...God forbid.

PS- No one here is praising Okposo, for any reason. It's time for him to take Ullstrom's place in the owner's box until he pops his head out of his a*s.

I hear you. We'll see what he brings? seems like he's taken a step back this year from what I'm reading, Nillson is sounding like the better tender. This game loss was definitely a team effort.

Didn't watch the game since I was at work but figured they lost the game by doing the same poop they always do when they come out the gate quick. They stopped skating, and only Tavares and Moulson showed up. When the team does the same crap after winning 2 in a row the blame falls directly on the head coach. Capuano needs to go. Get a real NHL coach to whip the rest of these bums into shape. Also, Isles should've traded okposo and bailey over the summer when their value was high. Bailey has just 2 assists, and okposo has just 1 goal this entire year. It's pathetic. Plus why hasn't okposo been benched yet. He's worthless.

ugh, I cant believe we can just once take some good momentum and run with it.
You lose to team missing 6 starters and once again we gave another rookie NHL his first NHL goal. is that the 3rd in a week?

Poulin did let in a softy 2nd goalie but he did plenty to give isles win.

THE BLAME goes on 2nd and 3rd line. Lines that do absolutely NOTHING. KO does suck and Im actually starting to get worried about Bailey now. He looked amazing in first game back and instead of getting better he getting worse.

I said 3 games ago that AUCOIN's fairy does wore off. He hasnt done anything for this team since that ot win in Jersey over a month ago.

He's not the answer, I agree. He is a developing tender who may be good or may not be some day? A real number one would be great with that said we can't even get a legit third liner on this team let alone a legit number one goaltender. This team needs a new owner, GM, and coach and then maybe we can get some real players.

I hope I am wrong about him but I don't get the hype. Most of these players get hyped up by Snow and company and come in the NHL doing nothing. For once I would like to just watch a winning team. Losing todays game was a big blow. We gave up a two goal lead to an easy team to beat. To top it off a win today would have put us in the playoffs ahead of the Rangers in the Atlantic. Now we have to wait until Thursday for our next game and hope for a win against a Leafs team that has been playing well.

I'm all for the Isles bringing in a better goalie than Nabby and Poulin but it's going to make very little difference as long as JT and Moulson are the only guys scoring and you have multiple players not showing up. There will be games they do not score and other players need to come through.

It's the same with most of these guys, they are over hyped and most of the guys lop it up on here. Poulin sounded good last year but his game has been not so good for some time now from what I've heaard/read. Rebound control has been criticised. With thaid i don't know much about him maybe he'll be something some day but as a back up I'll take him over DP. I know we need a real #1 but we both know thats not happening with the Garf/ Wang show.

what coach calls a time out up 2-0 to rest his PP. Oh wait, Coach Cappy. Moron.

we had opportunity to move to tied for 8th and building off 2 huge wins. Instead back to LET DOWN CITY.

I missed Cappy stupid post game interview. Did he say he thought Reasoner looked good.

please bench KO or Aucoin and get ULLSTROM back in this line up. might be worth given a kid from bridge a try.

Trust me we didnt lost b/c martinek played tonight. he played a very sound game.

Garth made his biggest move of the year by sending DP down. You heard his interview he loves this team. Boyes is a beast.
