Kinda touchy, feely in here lately...especially for a team that hasn't lost a game in regulation yet. I am pretty sure I would be laughing anyone off at this point.

I can't speak for the out of staters, but the Chicago fan's mind is programed to wait for the other shoe to drop.

That's my feeling too. It seems like the more that they win, the more anxious I am each game. How long until puck drop??

About two hours. I think I'll go out and run errands to make the time pass quicker. See you all on the board tonight.

Just scored a ticket to tomorrow's game. It will be my first live NHL game.

Enjoy your first trip to the UC. There is no better place to watch hockey, IMO, since the old Stadium is no longer. Should be a great game against the Oil--we are seeing the one on 3/10.

I'm pretty much about as far from Chicago as possible, but this is exactly the kind of reaction installed from childhood. The illusion I've always battled is being too anxious and to expect the good times to disappear in flash and not being able to enjoy them while they're still happening.

Corey Crawford will start in goal for #Blackhawks tonight vs. Blue Jackets. Center Dave Bolland will not play.

It's amazing what the actual locations are versus the depicted locations in most feature films.

In Cold Mountain, North Carolina was actually . . . Romania.

And in Secretariat, the famous Belmont race was filmed at Keeneland. Blasphemous.

Yes--I'm afraid they might lose to Columbus!

And yes, being a fan of Chicago sports (ok, I am a Cubs fan, and I despise the NBA) makes you kind of anxious . . . . I know, there is 2010 and 1985, but then in my lifetime there's 1969, 1984, 1989, and 2003 for the Cubs, and 1971, 1991, and 1992 for the Blackhawks. Both 1985 and 2010 were kind of unreal--it was like, "My team never wins." You don't really know what to do . . . . At least that's me.

Oh, and just so everyone's clear on this:

My role here is not to agree (or disagree) with you, whether you are a Hawk fan or a fan of another team. And when I disagree, especially when I provide a factual argument for my point of view, it doesn't make me a jerk or a homer.

In fact, you can pretty much find the jerks and homers based on who trots those terms out. 'I can't refute the message, so I shoot the messenger.'

I obviously know nothing about your prospects, so can't even make a guess at a trade proposal, but i highly doubt the sens let neil go for a "maybe" prospect, unless there is another piece included. I'm thinking sens would want an "all around" type of guy, as they already have their puck movers (karlsson, weircioch, ceci).

IMO, if hawks and sens are talking, it's for a dman coming to ottawa.

- sensarmy_11

Hjalmarsson is having his best seaon as a Hawk and he won't be going anywhere....If he were it would take more than Neil.

Detroit, if those are my only options. I just can't stand the Canucks, particularly considering all the flak they their fans throw around on here.

And they need to sign Kruger.

So maybe they ride what they have and just part ways with a hungry-to-get-paid Stalberg in the offseason. Or they fill a slight area of need and move Stalberg in the deal now in order to get some compensation for him.

See Cam Barker, March 2010.

I forgot about Olsen who probably has not been written off completely throughout the league. And, yes, the Hawks are HIGH on Johns specifically.

- John Jaeckel

Concerning trades of dmen....As now it is very apparent Leddy is most likely too good to trade....

The issue is Bowman needs to find a partner who either has time to develop Olsen and Clendenning or dosn't care so much about winning now and let's them learn on the job...And that's risky.

Olsen caught the eyes of the front office with a few good weeks in Rockford and because there was a hole in Chgo blueline last yr.
Now, unfortunately for him he has been geeting injured too.

Clendenning is a ways away from what I hear.

The most tradeable young players in the Hawks sysytem are not in Rockford.

He's not in the Carcillo category. Yet. One would really have to commit themself to play as dirty as Carcillo. As good as they are, the Blackhawks are developing a reputation as a dirty team. Shaw's antics int he AHL are well known. Carcillo is one of, if not the dirtiest player in the game. Keith's dirty hit last year, Bolland's stick work. Talented bunch, but developing a dirty reputation.
