Nice save Hammer! Not sure if Kruegs is ready to grab and embrace 2nd line center minutes but it would obviously be outstanding if he does. Think he could complement Kane and Sharp well.

Think Brunner's got 2 goals tonight to give him 10. Didn't know much about him but he's turing into a pretty good NHL'er. The way the Wings talking heads hype everyone who wears the sweater I thought Brunner could be Red Wing for Reto Von Arx.

Yeah I got the impression that game would be a shoot-out. Brunner seems good enough, Wings shouldn't take any more credit than offering him a contract. Guy developed in Europe without any of their meddling.

I just don't understand how a club with the speed and skill of the Hawks can treat the PP like a game of chess. Slow and deliberate may work for Garry Kasparov, but not on the ice.

Absolutely! Don't get me wrong Datsyuk and Zetterberg were lower round finds, guys that came up through their system and excellent NHL'ers. SInce then while they still draft well while having lower picks in the various rounds the way their hype machine spins it every young guy that comes up is a blue chip prospect; Helm Emmerton, Mursak, Nyquist, Kindl, Erricsson, Smith. Helm's pretty good but they talk about him like he's Brian Trottier. I don't know if it will last but that Tatar kid has produced since coming up and Brunner's been way better than I expected. Totally true though that they didn't have anything to do with it.

He and Emery must've stumbled upon bottles of some of the water they were drinking last year, both Emery and Crow have did not have good first periods positioning-wise.
