liked the vanek interview. dont seem to be sugar coating it. lots of mistakes, fans ave a right to be frustrated, not just one problem.

i really dont want to see him go, but it seems like this team is hellbent on tanking

In order

Darcy needs to "relieved" of his duties
After that happens you bring in a new GM and give the guy (at the very least) 2-3 weeks to really evaluate what is heads and what is tails in this organization.
Any moves before that would be extremely premature, besides waiving Hecht,Gerbe.
I believe the 2-3 week window would work out well with the trade deadline near when teams that have legit shots well 100% overpay.
I only move Miller because I feel sorry for him.
He is one of the few that brought his lunch bucket to FNC ice this season.
Move Vanek only if the deal is mind blowing please.
Move Pommers for a 1st and a prospect.
Start playing Enroth so we know if the kid is even worth keeping around to backup please. It's not like playing him now could be any worse for the team or organization. We need to know what Enroth is capable of.
I suspect Rolston will be sent back to Rochester at seasons end.
The only way he does stay is if the youth on the roster out numbers the vets on the roster. IE: He is this alleged teacher.
Sorry for being long winded. Watched this team since its inception and it hurts.

the d has very few players id keep. hoff, sekera, weber (great 6/7th man) and maybe sulzer if he can fix the mistakes he's making.. thats it. Id let the rest go.
- badgirrl

I agree baTgirl.
Did anyone else notice Myers end to end rush at the end of the game.
He seemed to be carrying that puck with and edge and intensity. Almost angry after hearing the boos cascading down to the arena floor.
That is what we want all the time Tyler!
Was that so hard?

Weber is part of the problem IMO. He fights once in a while but thats his only attribute. He's a turnover machine and can't cover in front of the net.

The Weber experiment should be over immediately. Bring up McNabb and let him get some more NHL game experience.

weber is a guy who is best served on a pt basis. that's pretty much what he's paid to do. he's been the guy who is scratched when everyone else is healthy and doing great. however he can't handle big minutes which im ok with since hoff and sekera can eat minutes. weber is a stay at home d man with maybe 2% offense (haha :0) he needs to be paired with someone who can attempt to do things up the ice. There isn't a partner for him right now. he would be perfect to pair with a young offensive capable guy from roch.

What does everyone think about Lindy coaching the Rangers?
If Torts doesn't get that team turned around quick I could see Lindy taking that job.

i have no idea what myers deal is.. he's a headcase with no real consistency in years. he coasted by the radar the past few seasons because we were able to overlook it because we still managed to pull in some wins. If anyone dares to try and even go to the "he's out of shape" crap I will literally blow up in here!

You could hear everything from the crowd toward the end of the game.. because it was so empty things echoed.

Anyone else notice Regher practically walking back to the bench after a series in the Buffalo end WHILE the team was still trying to advance the puck up the ice ?

My opinion of him being an asset on a playoff run is beginning to sway. Trade him if you can get something... He deserves better and the Sabres deserve something for him.

He can't skate anymore, doesn't seem to hit anymore and has absolutely ZERO value past his own blueline. He can't shoot the puck at all.

Going to be honest, I hate this team. The team after Dom left would beat these Suck Sisters 10 out of 10 times.

Was the coach part of the problem? Yep

Is the Gm part of the problem? Yep

Are the players the majority of the problem? 100% yes.

Ship Miller, Vanek, and Pommer out to the highest bidder and start over please. We deserve better than this.

Agree, disagree, don't care. I know what I see and what I see is a piece of poop hockey team run by a fan that has zero clue what he's doing.

This isn't drilling for gas, sports ownership doesn't work that way. Time to clean house. The people who support this franchise see that. Time to bite the bullet Mr. P. Lets face it, you bought a lemon.

Solid thoughts here man. I am officially at the point where I hate my favorite team and I am just disgusted with the fact that this current group of players has gotten me to this point. Been watching since 92-93 and have seen some awful teams but none of them have felt like this. With the payroll that Pegula has put out this year it's an absolute travesty in regards to the product on the ice and yet we still support it because we love this franchise no matter what. Well I am pretty much done. You know what I want for my undying support and loyalty all of these years? A true blow this team apart rebuild. We're at least owed that as fans so we can have some hope for the future. Right now I would keep grigirenko, ehrhoff, ott, kaleta and Foligno and listen to offers for everyone else. Some of them may be great guys that we've watched develop over the years but it jus isn't working here and they need to go. GM as well. As for Rolston he has been put into a position where he can only fail with this group of slugs.

Whoa whoa whoa Pegula did not by a lemon. He bought a proud tough hockey franchise with a nice history for not having won a cup. And somehow sank it right to the pit of hell.

could be a perfect storm at the trade deadline , more teams with playoff hopes and the Sabres with alot of assets to move

just hope we get a real GM before then.....

the lack of accountability (leadership) has been a problem since Drury left, when teams lose GM's and Coaches get fired , that hasn't happened in Buffalo in 16 years, the players see that

the other problem is the Sabres missed on a ton of 1st round picks in the Regier era, a franchise can't survive missing out on all that top end talent, it's just catching up with the Sabres

foot speed isn't an issue, lazyness is the issue, can't win if you don't compete

- billyk

Speed is an issue... Who on our team would u consider fast?
Ennis, that's about it

As far as the first round picks go, check out any organization, LOTS of teams have missed on top picks

Darcy has actually done really well drafting lately

I give drafting credit to Andy Devine. Darcy just takes all the credit, Andy does the work.

I would not allow Darcy Regier to make one more move that is considered to be in the best interest of this franchise.
The window for him to be fired and to bring in a new GM is closing.
A new GM needs to come in and have time to evaluate this roster and the pipeline for a few weeks before the trade deadline.
If Darcy is not fired within a weeks time , I'd be shocked.
If he is not. Ted & Terry may be intent on allowing him to keep his job.
Anyway there is a timeline here and it may not be in Darcy's favor.

Can't u say that about every GM?
Of course the scouts do all the work... But that's every organization...
Also, if you're not gonna give Darcy any of the credit, not fair to blame him for any of the misses

the thing is darcy is in no position for trades right now. he should have done it preseason so he could get way more back then the actual worth of a player. instead he held on to guys (im sure thinking he could squeeze more out of the trades later in season). now we are in the bottom of the barrel and with the coach fired other teams now he is in a position of desperation and weakness. who really thinks he will trade with other teams lowballing him?

don't get me wrong change is in order but i'm not expecting too much right now. perhaps he has some favors to call in with other gms??
