Zhitnik was a solid dman for years. He was just a horse for us when we went to the cup finals in 99. Remember when he broke mike sillinger's ribs with an open ice hip check during the Philly playoff series in 98? Sure he had problems hitting the net in his later years and literally took hechts ear off one game, but overall he was one of the top 10 dmen in franchise history.

Ehrhoffs not the problem here and besides he logs more ice time then any dman on the team.They aint going to move Ehroff and they probably wont move Myers either.Leopolds gone at the end of the season maybe Reghier too .

Those numbers don't speak to the quality of the shots do they?
Chicago and San Jose have been so much better those four years than us it's ridiculous...
What the difference in points between the teams?

I'm not saying Niemi sucks or anything,
But Miller's numbers are skewed by having a bad team and horrible defense in front of him

I hope your right on that, If the organization was going to fire Lindy they should've done it with Darcy too. Lot of people think they won't do anything with Darcy until the summer.

I do not know of one other hockey team in the NHL that makes a pass from the goal line to a man breaking past center ice and try to hit that guy in stride. Time and time again. The wingers are standing still with this ridiculously dangerous pass. We gave up two goals against Pittsburgh on giveaways in our own zone with all three forwards outside the blue line. There is nothing to be gained by this pass. Yet every night you see it time and time again.

I thought with the passing of Lindy Ruff we would see our defensemen standing up on our blue line. Instead, they continue to sag and sag and give and give. I swear up and down at the TV watching people glide in between he dots and take targe practice. disgusting.

This team is difficult to watch. They need some scoring and some kind of direction. This ship is off course and blowing in the wind without a rudder.

I will say this... I love Steve Ott. Standup guy. Tenacious. Great pick up. We need more like him.

Agreed I'd even take Penner for Staff just to get out of Staff's cap hit.
