Absolutely. there is no one in the game I respect more then Brian Burke. Good hockey mind who knows how to build a team the right way, not to mention has the balls to do and say what he wants. Can you imagine the type of team he could build with a goalie like Miller? - CaptPantalones
His work in Vancouver, Anaheim and now unfortunately Toronto speaks for itself. I would welcome him with open arms. He would be the anti Darcy and I would like to think he would jump on a chance to stick it to Toronto if the opportunity arose.

Welcome - gerbe75pts
I've actually been reading Garth's blogs and scrolling through the forums for a long time here. (Plenty of time to kill at work these days) I just figured it was finally time to join in the fray.

That being said, I am not going to complain if they end up with MacKinnon, Drouin or any of the other top guys. The silver lining to this awful season is that the draft is loaded at the top with potential franchise guys.
But for God's sake, get a real GM to handle the draft! - SabreSufferer
Do u not realize the Sabres have been KILLING it at the Draft for quite a while now?
that team has upside, we are still in decline - homiedclown
It just took him a few seasons longer to turn things around there. No prospects or decent draft picks and a roster bloated with awful contracts on aging players. His worst mistake was hiring Ron Wilson as coach. Other than that, the leafs are now a Burke type team; tough, aggressive and fast skating. If we could land him, look out
That was a roster move to free up a spot for Porter. Doesn't McCormick have a one way contract? If not, then it was both a money move and a roster move.
