Been a long time since I was more tortured by the Sabres than the Bills.

He is what he is and this team is what it is as well. I think the team as a whole, any team, not just the Sabres, take on the personality of its captain. And to me, that's the problem with this team, too soft and not enough intensity and battle, just like him. Just my opinion, not disagreeing with you, just trying to justify why they suck so bad.

So what would your plan for rebuild be
- IndianaSabresFan

Actually, starting with Bernier sounds like a good move to me. Then Miller sends his list and whomever is willing to drop their best player under 23 wins the US goalie lottery.

I would move Vanek at the deadline after calling Darren Dreger and accidentally letting it slip he might be available about 10 days earlier. The convos start at next years first round pick and then we talk young roster players and top prospects.

If it wasn't Stafford going to bring back Bernier I strongly consider buying him out along with Leino during the summer.

I also look to add two strong stay at home defensemen before next season. Leopold is no longer a Sabre, Brennan, if he can't be part of a deal, is wished well and allowed to walk. Pardy, who the hell cares, Weber gets another kick at the can.

We bring in a defensive minded coach, draft the best player with the 1 or 2 pick, and try to move other collected picks to move up in the draft again like last year.

We then don't raise ticket prices next year.

89 is the truth. People have hated his negativity. But he's just ahead of the curve. He should be our GM.

Don't think I'll ever be more excited about the Bills than the Sabres after this past football season. Bills had the most promising team they've had in awhile coming into the 2012 season and they looked just as bad as they usually do.

Pegula should be handing out refunds for this year, screw spending millions on the harbor center project.

Problem is NF.... How to convince other teams that any player on the Sabres right now is worth anything.......... I truly believe that is a problem....

Miller and Vanek should be easy sells, really.

Stafford not so much, but a project.

Nice plan. Send it up to terry. Quick turnaround and could be back in the mix in two seasons or less

See I never understood that logic though. The team sucks yet consider moving the 2 best players on the team? I just can't grasp that concept........ anybody else yes but those 2, IMO dumb opinion, are untouchable....

Stafford might have to be a give away. But would a team like the isles take him for a pick?

Sometimes you gotta take chances, the Flyers did it by trading Carter and Richards.
