After almost 4 periods, it's becoming clear that the Sabres did not have a coaching problem.
I don't want to hear that it takes time with a new coach. These guys haven't shown a single shred of playing better or playing with more effort.

I don't think many will question his heart & effort but he doesn't have the raw skill of a Marty St. Louis to compensate for his lack of size.

Disagree. We played better in TOR, we had a goal disallowed and had a 5on 3 goal against.

Ruff, you could make a case, should have been fired after the season before the olympics
BUT

if you've made this commitment to the coach for so long, perhaps shipping a sorry ass multi millionaire out may have sent the message that is needed

team seemed focused once goose was shipped out

if they had moved a staff, perhaps the core would have gotten the message

Most teams with a new coach show something at least in the first couple of games, this team has not.

The main difference I've seen in the last game and this period is they're getting to pucks faster and their passing has been a bit better. When the fundamentals are as messed up as Rolston seems to be saying, it's gonna take a little while to straighten them out.

This game is so boring I have amazing seats And I'm hockeybuzzing and not watching the ice surface.

It must be a little better being there, but it really looks lame on TV. Just nothing special happening at all. Our pp is (frank)ing awful. Grebe does have a quick step and passion about him. Grigs made a nice pass. Miller stopped a few decent shots. Otherwise.... Crickets. Now for the 2nd period.. poop..
