Not related to his OT game winner the other night, I'm really starting to like Hickey. I think he will be the defensive scrap heap pickup version of Moulson. Not a big kid, but a real heady player. |

He looks pretty good. |

I've liked Hickey from the get-go. He's very smart with the puck and isn't afraid to jump into the corners. It seems to me that he may have been picked up to be deHaan plan B.
In regards to Finley, folks need to remember just how long it took Chara to become the Chara we know today. He's actually a better skater at this stage of his career than Chara was imo. |

I recall it being noted over the years of how much better the Islanders record was when Andy Sutton was in the line up than when he was injured. The same was noted with Jurcina (despite not being that physical). When Finley plays with an edge I think his effect is equally positive.
Tomorrow is yet another big test for this team. |

You see this is exactly what I am talking about. You have the lamest (frank)ing comments. You are the biggest (frank)ing cock gobbler out there. We get it you want to suck DP Richard. Considering how many times you have asked me to touch it, this is truly no surprise. And your love of washed up hockey players.
I know you see some value in DP, that obviously makes you the hockey guru of this splendid board. You must think Dee has skills as well. Please shut your (frank)ing mouth. Your worthless drivel is just pointless.
Once again you blow, you cock sucking douche bag! |

Yup, they are not better off without him? Just most fans are happy he is gone. And not to mention any pro goalie is better than him and how are we not better he got sent down? So do you think he is a good and just got sent down to see if he can find his game?
You are wrong again you dumb mother (frank)er! |

Makes me even more angry that we lost the last game to Buffalo. Killed them that game and just got severely out goalied. - niteislander
The Islanders did not make the commitment to defense in that game that they did last night. Not even close. Vanek scored a goal after he got like three or four hacks at a puck in front of the net, while our team stood around and admired his work ethic. The two games against Buffalo, in fact, should be made into a videotape for them to watch, to show them the difference between what happens when you play defense vs. what happens when you stand around on the ice surface and watch the other team take pot shots at your goaltender. 15 quality chances beat 100 "shots", every time......SOG is a worthless statistic....almost as useless as GAA..... |

I think Bailey is more a playmaker. And some of his passes shows that he has great vision. I rather him on the first line than Boyes, but as Snow said "Boyes is doing a great job" - mighty13duck
Agreed, Boyes is a liability |

Kaleta threw a few cheap shots during the game.
After he threw the hit late in the 3rd... Finley was waiting for an opportunity to get him.
Once Foligno went crashing into Nabby... Finley started looking around for Kaleta instead of pummeling Foligno...
