That was ugly whiplash. Let's just hope it's a couple of weeks, not months. Looked clean to me.
I can't help but think the new 1st line will be Sid,Neal,Kunitz. Disco will say they're just going to slide Sutter up, but let's be honest, his line mixing starts 2 minutes into a game. - madmike71
Neal was originally supposed to be crosbys winger that he never had, so lets throw those 2 together and see what happens. |

Well Malkins injury is truly devastating. No concussions are the same, but there is a chance we don't see him in the playoffs. You've got to believe Shero will be waiting as long as possible to make a trade to see how Malkin is progressing.
Is there anyone that's been rumored on the trade block who can play center and wing? - drummer829

I think the missing element so far on Geno's line has been a hardworking guy winning puck battles. Imagine Kunitz and Sid getting Neal the puck. Lousy way to see this happen, but Sid Neal and Kunitz could be scary. |

I agree, Sid, Kunitz, Neal on line one, Sutter, Bennett and Duper on line 2. Jeffrey Cooke and Kennedy on line 3. |

I don't see the pens throwing both of the top two lines out of wack (at least at the beginning). Obviously if it's looking like a long term thing, then there might be changes, but I don't see Sid's line changing in the near future, or they basically become a one line team. |

I'd love to see those 3 together. To be honest, I don't see Neal doing anything with Sutter.

I heard Daniel Alfredson would want to go to a Stanleycup contender before he retire. Sens will struggle to make the playoff now with all the injuries and if they do make it, they won't get very far. Boston also looking in into him.
I don't agree with trading players on the verge of retirement just so they get the cup. Bourques should remain the only exception. IMO |

I don't have a problem with it at all if it's something that the player wants.
A guy like Alfredson has given everything to that organization, even playing for peanuts this season instead of walking away. If the Sens have no shot and he wants to try a playoff run with someone else at the deadline, I have no problem with it. |

Highly skilled and defensively responsible. Could do well for us. If the price is right I'd be all for it.
Edit: but I doubt that organization would help us in ANY way... |

Then every year, you would have that veteran player asking to be traded.
Who don't want to be part of a contender team? Many elite players take their retirement without winning the cup. Yes, Alfredson is fantastic captain for Ottawa and have a great career but are we going to do that with Saku Koivu, Jerome Iginla, Kipprusoff and many other veteran on the verge of retirement now?
I get it, it's sad in a way, specialy for guys like Alfredson but last minutes trades for concession players like that just takes something away from all the glory. IMO |

Cooke should have been suspended. Penguins are dirty. Feel bad for Malkin though he is the best player in the world hope he isn't out too long. |

Malkin will be fine... Let him get rest. The problem with Sid was he had big hits after already having a concussion. Everyone gets there bell rung like this and most of the time they don't even realize that they have concussion symptoms. Malkin could play tomorrow and be fine unless he takes a good hit to the head. Just give him a couple weeks off and he'll be fine. This isn't Sid again. |

I appreciate your optimism, but it doesn't take multiple hits to have a big concussion. There are several guys who missed significant time from one hit.
He might be back in a week, a month or next season, fact is that none of us know. |

Dear goodness the caps announcers are terrible. If I was a caps fan I'd never watch the home feed. I'm glad ovechkin has the ability to score from one spot of the ice. Maybe if he played defense they wouldn't be last in the league |

Keep crying he will always be better than Cindy 2 MVP's enough said. And he didn't have to ride on Malkin's tail for a cup win. Well he doesn't have a Malkin on his team. Almost at 700 points where's Crosby at? HAHAHA |
