Beninati is such a (frank)ing moron. He uses the dumbest language to describe everything and is such a homer. Goddamnit this blows. - MrToast
You might want to turn off the volume. Have you tried firstrowsports for a link with the Devils feed? |

This. Crappy quality but who cares its free. Even though listening to Chico and Steve is killing my ear lobes...still better than Joel & crew. |

Marty looked terrible under Maclean. I don't think it was because he was terrible, but when the system breaks down in front of you, there is little the goalie can do. - rmdevil313
He was also letting in a ton of soft goals from what I remember. |

And goaltenders have made coaches and GMs look bad (Tortorella in TB; every TB goaltender save for Khabibulin was mediocre... even Smith the time he was there; I can also think of Lalime in Ottawa and Cloutier in Vancouver). Both share the responsibility. Holtby's only been decent in the playoffs and is young, yet, so you can expect inconsistency, and he really wasn't that great last year either.
And Marty was frustrated a lot in the MacLean days; Greene and Tallinder were playing absolutely horrible. I remember the 7-2 days... funny stuff.
Speaking of funny, that Wolski shot was a riot. |

I wouldn't mind seeing Lok get shifts more often with Kovy. Zajac isn't exactly creating offense playing on the top line. |

Zajac is still our best defensive center so I don't see him getting a decrease in shifts. |

I agree.
The problem now, at least to me, is that I want to see Loktionov on the first line, but I don't want to see Henrique moved to wing nor do I want to see Zajac or Henrique on third line. When all is healthy something like:
Ponikarovski-Loktionov-Kovalchuk
Elias-Henrique-Clarkson
Zubrus-Zajac-Butler
CBGB
Move Clarkson and Butler as you please and same with Henrique and Zajac. |

Agreed, not a chance. Sure didn't just give him a payday to keep him off the ice more. Lokti sure is impressing me though. Petey may play with lines again. |

That looks, just so...beautiful. I don't see a single hole in that lineup. That group staying healthy will go very far. |

Let's see if Loktionov can keep it up. If he proves to be a daily contributor then we have to factor him into a more significant role in the lineup. Right now I'm glad he's getting extra shifts but too early to jump the gun. |

Our puck pressure has been inconsistent at best recently. Need to simplify the game. |

Well he only played 15 minutes today so there was a bit of a decrease there. He needs to perform better. He didn't get a huge contract to just be a shut-down center. He needs to produce offense too.
And geeze Lok went 0-10 on faceoffs... |

Maybe we should put Zajac on defense. |
