We've got two guys in the top-10. You don't have one in the top-15.
I know this is going to end with a picture of Sidney holding a cup, but can you at least try to think of a logical response before it comes to that? - Feeling Glucky?
If you know anything about hockey you'd know that save % is not all that matters for a team to win championships. You have to think about the D in front of the goalie as well as the system in which you're playing.

Another laffable moment in Burke's 4 years in TO was the 09 draft. Leaf Nation wanted so badly for the Leafs to unite the Schenn bros. With Brayden being touted as a top 5 pick & the Leafs choosing 7th, Leafs would have to likely trade up to get him. However we heard nothing about Burke even being interested in dealing for Brayden. All the desired hoopla to unite the Schenn bros came only from Leaf Nation. Seconds after LA selects Brayden, we see Burke shaking his head like he's trying to look dissapointed. Was that just acting for the camera to appease dissapointed Leaf fans? Nice try Burke, we aint buying it. - GCHonda
2 things here:
1) Burke said from before the draft that he wanted to trade for a top-5 pick without giving up his own pick, because there was another guy he wanted to draft
2) So far in their careers, Kadri has easily been better than Brayden Schenn. |

in fairness, it's beaten to death in Canada, and that dude seems to be from PA. i think Americans get at least a few more years out of the Kessel-Leafs pistol whippings. - DoubleDown

So... your rebuttal to me saying the Leafs have better goaltending is that other teams shoot the puck on our "crap defense" more?
If our defense was crap, wouldn't that make the goalie stats even more impressive?
What does Goals For have to do with our goalies? - Feeling Glucky?
Your goalies are awesome, team is crap; goalies though awesome. |

So, if our team is crap, why are they tied with the mighty penguins?
More importantly, why did they beat them earlier this season? |

Not only do I remember that horror, who here remembers more horror in 1978 when the Leafs traded a young D man Randy Carlyle to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Dave Burrows. Randy would go on to a stellar career winning a Norris Trophy. |

Seeing as your team is tied with a garbage team, they may have a hard time winning against the Panthers.

I see. The system implemented by a cup-winning coach is one that will never take a team near a cup? - Feeling Glucky?
Yeah... but things change. His system worked then ya for sure. But it remains to be seen if his system will work now. Just sayin |

Highly mobile, physical, shut-down hockey.

If you are there when playoffs begin ill give your team props, not making the post season as long as the leafs have, has me belive that they will break down and crap out yet again this season. |

The way you talk, the Leafs got it all...even though they never make the playoffs..
I remember the bandwagon last year...than in the final, no playoffs.
You've got this sharp tongue. appreciate it. |

Leafs could use an upgrade at #1 C.
Outside of that, yea, they've got a pretty good team top-to-bottom. And a coach that knows what to do with it.
If you'll remember last year, they didn't have the goaltending, as the guy was out with a concussion, and their head coach was possibly one of the worst in league history. |

Wow, whoever buys out DP is going to owe him $1.5M a year until 2030: http://capgeek.com/buyout...3&buyout_m=06&buyout_d=15
That's like through 2 more CBAs, potentially . Also I keep forgetting that the Islanders still have Yashin on the cap ($2.2M) until 2016...good thing they're a floor team
On the other hand it is better than the alternative. - S Kaspar Rollins
...except there is a new CBA that allows 2 non compliance buyouts.......so you can just pay him to go away this summer or next and not a single red fakin penny counts against the cap...... |
