There won't be any buyouts before the summer, so it would be nice to see Montador and Olesz get some game action if they're healthy. Monty could be especially useful as a 6th d-man, you can't have too many good defensemen.

Much as we like to bust on Clown Shoes, if he can play come April/May it's a nice, nice depth card to have. The Hawks would have a defense that goes 8 deep in NHL players.

He did that well for a bit. Maybe he plays on the 4th line for a bit to get back into game shape.

I'm OK with HOSS being out and taking a couple more days.

That alternate lineup is just fine given Bollig and Mayers will be dressed. This way if Clowe and especially Jumbo-playoff-no-show-Joe tries something with Toews, Q can easily put one of those guys out with the captain and stop any BS, just like last season out West.

I still regularly have nightmares from the dark days. Very few players I even slightly enjoyed watching or even liked. The Russians were some of the worst. That being said, there's a nice number of players that went through the Hawks roster like a turnstile and are still NHL-level players today.

I think I've seen some of your posts touting TM and Weideman. I've enjoyed their broadcasts when I'm in the car; should tune them in more.

I went to my one and only convention in 2010...it was great...don't think i need to hit another one anytime soon.

Foley and Troy had an overlap in radio at one point before Weideman came on board. Hell if I remember correctly, Probie was a studio analyst at one point!

But I digress, Troy and Wiedeman have been a great crew. Certainly appreciate them more as Foley has soured on me since he came back. Never really liked Olcyzk at all on the ice, and that hasn't changed since his move to color commentator.

Not a fan either; might have been a nice guy but just seemed like he really didn't belong in the booth.

Since Pat's been back, the chemistry between him and Edzo just seems kind of forced compared to when it was Pat and Dale. Several here have commented how the game goes on for minutes while Pat and Eddy yuck it up. Though I see perfectly fine, it's just nice to listen to the radio guys who are actually calling play by play and give better analysis.

I'm sure Karlsson will be sent to Rockford after one last morning skate with the big club. Maybe they're delaying the decision in case Crawford has a last minute set-up this morning.

This is great. I know people have mixed feelings about Carcillo, but I like the energy and physicality he brings to the lineup and I think if he can stay healthy he can contribute.
