Yeah, they're certainly exceeding expectations; Krueger, Shaw, Leddy. Saad with the big goal tonight. Don't get me wrong if they have the chance to improve the lineup do it. Just not a lot to dislike right now.

While Foley may have been overly gushy on Stanbo, essentially he was right on. When you have as much money locked up in the core guys, splashy free agent signings aren't realistic. Shouldn't need them either with our core. Just need to find guys to plug in around them. Love the way the whole team is playing D right now!

If stan does anything i think he will try to upgrade the fourth line wing even though it is crowded already. This player could also be moved up the lineup on occasion and wont cost any of the current roster players

Agree. Someone else just flipped the lines a few posts ago and other then the 4th (no true center) it looked pretty good which I think is what this lineup gives you is flexibility. Once Carcillo gets his legs back I think he gives you that option as well in terms of a guy that they can play on just about any line and brings something to the table.

With all due respect, records are meaningless in the regular season. It is a great achievement and I am happy they did it. They are playing pretty well now, but there are still a few question marks that needs to be shored up. Enjoy the record, but keep your eye on the prize.

so true...but if these types of accomplishments don't matter then why watch and comment at all....just show up and watch when the playoffs begin.

Every team in the league will for sure put a great big bullseye on the Hawk jersey from now through the palyoffs. They are now top of the heap and EXPECTED TO WIN IT ALL! We will see how they carry that!

Only move I would consider with the current lineup is switching bickell and saad

H elooked like he was already on the ice.

Shaw will get suspended.

More amazing that a team can have their goaltender give up so many rebounds, and they still get to 99 % of them!

- wiz1901

Didn't like the hit..always dangerous near the bench like that...and unnecessary at that point in the gme. My gosh..10 seconds left and you drill a guy.

But what is the suspendable offense here? BTW I have reviewed the play> Did he get a 5 min and gme for that?

I think the rebounds off Emery were strategic by him he seemed to decide and know where he was going withn those!!

Pooh pooh pooh...Is this the time to take your eyes OFF what was just accomplished besides the fact that Hawks soundly beat the Sharks to the puck all night?

I am surprised you didn't also suggest the trade Kane for Ryan Miller.

They haven't lost and you think "changing it up is a solution for keeping their eyes on the post season prize?

Well with Bolland's injury and Shaws suspension you will get your wish.
Maybe you can tell us how adding another mobile horse on the defense in Oduya, wasn't worth the two picks because of what you thought you saw in the last playoff.

In a team game that really relies on the entire unit to get pucks move the puck and be strong on the puck on every shift, breakdowns happen all night, but that doesn't make a player deserving of a "playing bad" moniker.

I actually thought when Q had to go to substitutung guys with Bolland leaving that things seemed to unravel a bit.

Personally, I don't know why any phuckin' body would be talking this stuff NOW.

I hope they play "pretty well" in the playoffs too.

That is the key to the defense this year - protecting Crawford and Emery.

Is that still a possibility? Cause that would be great!

People also laughed off the minor signings of Rozy and Brookbank but Oduya and Hammer have been great together and Leddy getting less minutes but still significant has worked well on a few levels.

14-0-3..........you do not touch the lines or the flow of this team until it's needed. After the road trip this team is behind one another.....band of brothers. To go deeper into it...each line has it's own bond as well....they know each other now. We can all point to what we would like to see...move Saad down....move Krugman here or there.....right now it needs to stay as is.

Changing the lines as things stand right now can be defined as over coaching.....just let it play out until you need to do it......Q is pushing all the right buttons right now mainly because he is leaving things alone....and they are responding to it. If the hawks lose 3 out of 5 or 2 out 5 then it's a different conversation.

No question... rolling these line, But they have been playing together for a month straight now and everyone is feeding off each other. Now is the time I think you can mix and match if someone goes down, like Bolland tonight!!! And Katheryn Tappen is to much..

For the first time this year, the Hawks out hit an opponent...."official numbers" were 29-27 in favor of the Hawks.

Scorer must be sharing a few with Foley!

Listen, I am happy as hell they got this record and it is a great accomplishment. Maybe saying take their eyes off of what happened is the wrong wording, but continually making the team better needs to continue. They are playing well, but what makes a difference if their record is what it is now or at .500? If you can improve the lines, why not do it. Toews' line 5 on 5 can be a lot better. Bolland, in my opinion, is better suited at 3rd line center spot. Shaw is better at the wing. This team has a legitimate shot at winning this year. They would be dumb to not make minor tweaks throughout the season whether it may be changing lines here and there (whether or not they are in a winning streak) or adding pieces via trades. And no, I do not suggest stupid trades like Kane for Miller.

P.S. They have lost 3 times this year.

As we know whoever is hot rolls to a line. we haven't seen much of that before tonight all season .. But Q mixed and matched and it worked again.... Nothing not to like!!!

No one is changing anything but players can swap spots during games and catch fire!!!!

At some point they'll have to hit the inevitable rough patch, but it's a good ride as long as it lasts. Good to have you here--sounds like the Nucks had a good battle tonight as well.

Sharks were very good when they could set up defensively. That was really their best play, but they just didn't have enough speed to do much else consistently.
