Entire post was well written, and my thoughts exactly. I think the Sharks may be seeking some redemption, and if the Hawks don't play the full 60 tonight, we could be in trouble. I'm more worried about points and playoff seeds than this record. The boys keep saying they're taking it one game at a time, and I hope they continue to do so.

Still, it would be nice to take all three from the Sharks.

Sharks are in a slump, but should be motivated by dropping their past 2 against the Hawks. Hawks are getting Seabs back, and possible Hossa playing which should give them an added boost. If the Hawks settle back into their "protect the lead" shell, they will get in trouble against the Sharks. Need a 60 minute effort of constant attack to keep the Sharks on their heels.

The Sharks main problem, as I recall from the past two meetings, has been the compelte disappearence of their big guns.

The Hawks' total team defense and stability on the back end has really helped eliminate a lot of teams' top scoring threats this season thus far.

Unless Jumbo and Marleau decide to step up in the face of adversity tonight, I think the 'Hawks take this one running away, Hossa or no Hossa.

If I'm Q I sit Hossa tonight and give in to my inner desire to shuffle up the lines and do some experimentation. If we lose because of it, it still winds up being a positive. The guys suffer a let down, but with the tacit understanding that they were without one of, if not their best, players. You get a look at whether or not the lines have been constructed right or wrong, so far. And, it's important to practice bouncing back from a loss, so take some risks and never mind if it happens! Try something different on the PP. Give Kruger a shot with some scorers.. all of it. I'd give San Jose Hell with odd combos and come what may. Tonight's the night to get weird.

And what better way to keep it like that than to have several 'Hawks players finish every single check they can on them, especially that d0uchebag of a captain they have. And if one of those checks just so happens to be from #22 or #52, so be it.

Hossa said he didn't have a concussion, at least in interviews. He said he felt a little shaky for an hour or so right after the hit, but after that he felt good. He passed all tests yesterday and fully participated in practice. I think if he passes tests today it will clearly show that there was no concussion which is great for Hoss....

Me too, I just hope he doesn't go and get injured on the first hit he throws. Guy is a sparkplug.

The guy needs to wear those knee braces the offensive line wears in football.

This has been a problem for the Sharks in the month of February. They have only scored more than 2 goals once and that was the 5-3 loss to the hawks.

All reports (from the mouths of Carcillo/Q) say that Carcillo is practicing with the team and is ready to play. Q has said he will play this homestand, which has 3 games remaining over 4 days here.

Read the first word of the sentence, "unless"

Unless . . . Carcillo is still a ways off. Until he actually shows up in a game, it is an open question.

I lied ...one more.

When Hossa was talking about how he just stayed in the locker room after the hit...well he had time in the quiet room and there was no way the league or team is gonna endanger his return...it would be bad for perception and business.

"Unless he's out for a while, and Carcillo is still a ways off, they probably won't bring anyone up. "

Went back and read it. The "he's" refers to Hossa, so because of how you use commas it makes it seem like the "and Carcillo is still a ways off" is a statement.

So some miscommunication. Not a big deal, we don't need to get snippy this early in the morning and I certainly don't need to be validating my statement like an English teacher. Much rather focus on the hockey.

I love the way he plays. I also think there is something about having him on a line with Toews and Hossa that allowed them to do their thing while Carcillo is the one out there throwing his body around creating space for them. Wouldn't mind seeing that line re-united at some point.

Agree. . . I feel JJ's previous blog with all the Canuck trolls has taken away the positive attitude on this board.
