Hate late period goals - Hawks are good at giving those up.

Hawks seemed disinterested in the first 20. That late, weak goal better be a wakeup call. Need to challenge Niemi more, and for phuck's sake, shoot high on the guy.

Isn't this what happened with Emery last year? He was playing well as the backup. As soon as Q tried to ride him, he became below average in a big hurry. I'm not sure he's up to being the horse.

That was exactly my fear. He's been alright so far, but has steadily gone south in the past few games he's started.

Problem tonite - although it didn't result in a goal - was his losing the net a couple of times - like last year, seemed slow going side to side - lucky SJ can't shoot straight.

Here's hoping he can pick it up like he did against the Canucks.

I'm really liking the TOI tonight for our D -- Leddy only 2nd to Seabs through the 1st period and from what I'm seeing, Leddy is looking really good tonight, willing to engage.

Now let's see, 2nd unit PP out there with Leddy right now . . . fingers crossed.

Oh, and again a not so good play by Oduya to give up the late 1st period goal.
