Personally, I'm not worried how "nice" Toews is. The guy is a complete hockey player and I just want to see him win. That being said, I don't want the guy to be a complete wiener, but he doesn't have to be Little Mr. Sunshine either. - DarthKane
Toews is the most complete player since Yzerman and Trottier before him. Both ends of the ice, face offs, special teams and leadership on and off the ice.

I know you dont make changes when a team is winning but last game i noticed saad with shaw and stalberg one shift or two not sure.
I think moving bickell tothe first line and saad to the third line may ease the pressure on saad and just allow him to react and play the game on instincts and not haveto worry about getting his linemates mad. A rookie with to future hall of famers is alot of pressure for a kid
Bickell has played well and i would like to see how he does on the first line
Just my opinion what do others think? |

Getting sick of both of 'em (Foley and "Edzo") to be honest. I cannot stress enough that I didn't care for Olcyzk as a player, and I don't care for him as a broadcaster. Foley's a$$-kissing on the broadcast isn't helpful either
- prd797
They have their +/-'s, but all in all, when compared to the rest of the league, we have it pretty good. |

Yeah Soupy was definitely a very relaxed guy. Certainly didn't hurt having Tallon sending that kind of paper his way . But I was able to have a quick conversation about hockey and getting the season back on track (at the time was 2010-11) and he was happy to talk to me, cracked some jokes, etc. - prd797
If I made $7+ million per season I'd be pretty relaxed too! |

It could be so much worse. CBJ announcers, RAY FERRARO, PIERRE McGuire for every game, TYSON NASH, the list goes on. I love Foley, but back in his first stint with the club he was never a puppet from a marketing stand point. I wouldnt hate Steve Konroyd stepping in for Eddie "No-Check" and I do enjoy Troy Murray as well. |

It could be worse. We could be stuck with the NBC broadcast team for every game. I cringe when I hear Emerick, MacGuire or Milbury's voice. |

Bring back Tallon on the COLOR!!!! Im sick of listening to Eddy "Paycheck." I also think it is a joke that they are honoring him. - nickmo2699
Honoring a local kid, who played for the Blackhawks, is one of the many faces of the organization (and NHL hockey), and was just inducted into the USA Hockey Hall of Fame...what are they thinking?! |

Love uniform talk...
It's not a classic (I'll give you PIMP). It was invented in the 90's. Yankees don't wear alternates. Hawks shouldn't either. Just my personal preference. - Jocelyn26
Let's not compare baseball to hockey now......
Obviously there are a lot of mixed feelings about the alternate jerseys. I can't really complain because I love the plain red ones they use at home, and no matter what the blackhawks have the best jerseys in hockey. I just also really liked the black ones. I'm obviously not the only one who liked them but looks like there are just as many people who hated them. I still think we should do a poll, at least until Ogi buys the team. |

Millbury was a horrendous GM and even worse broadcaster now.
Pierre McGuire - the best word to describe him is vapid.
I have to disagree on Emerick. I think he knows the game and brings an energetic vibe to each broadcast.

No thanks on Konroyd. Would LOVE Murray and Wiedeman to take over when Foley retires and Olcyzk buggers off back to national broadcasting full-time.
I agree that we have it better than most AND that Foley was better the first time around, but that doesn't mean I can't dislike the broadcasting dynamic we have on tv. |

Awful, also Ken Kal (Detroit radio guy), Bobby "the Chump" (er, I mean "Chief") Taylor (TB tv color guy—biggest homer announcer in hockey) . . . |

Well, I never bought the Toews/Kane buddy angle. That was/is marketing bs. Toews is a pretty private kid and does have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Uber competitive type, and those guys are not always teddy bears.
I will tell you my niece has spent time with him socially and says he is a true gentleman, FWIW.
As far as 88, there is evidence to suggest he has turned a corner. But it is still "recent." My jury is still out there. - John Jaeckel
JJ, RE #88 I have nothing to add, but it does seem to me that he has figured out that he is a man and not a boy anymore. Even in the manner he gives interviews, it seems to me that he has taken an important step. And good for him. I know if the press was after me when I was in my early 20s they could have made me look like a complete Richard, and they would have been right most of the time. I want to hope for the best for that kid. |
