Black for most teams is a crutch for the unimaginative. "What should we do with these 3rd Unis?". "let's just make 'em black and keep everything else the same."

At least black is one of the Hawks actual colors, so that makes it marginally better, but I still hate them. So get one now if you like them, because when I own the Hawks, they'll be banished forever.

The other one I don't get is the green Irish Hawk uniforms. WTF? I could see it if the team had ever worn them even once, but to my knowledge they never have. Who would drop the coin on that gimmick?

I like the regular black. Not a fan of the throwbacks. The black numbers on a mostly black jersey are hard to read.

The green ones started out as a bootleg product that stores around Chicago were selling around St. Pat's day. Either the Hawks or Reebok (or both) decided they wanted a cut of the action and created a licensed version as a response.

I'm not sure whether that all started because the University of North Dakota's jerseys are green and used to use the Hawk Indian head. I have a throwback UND jersey with Toews' college number on it.

Love them too... have that exact Toews sweater posted. Wish they would wear them once in a while.

I'd imagine the camo jersey is some tie in with the armed forces. I would give that a pass. But if its just a look?!

It is and yes it deserves respect for that. Hawks have always been bang on with support for the troops. It just looks like crap. Didn't they also wear a pink one for breast cancer, which looked like vomit?

That's cool; went to several games that year when I lived in East Village slightly more than a mile from the UC. I could walk up close to game time and get $10 seats and sit just about anywhere I wanted in the Upper Bowl. As much as I enjoyed that it's immeasurably better to watch the product today.

I used to go to a dozen games a year by walking up at game time, buying the cheapest seats, and moving up to the front row of the 300 level. Even though I can't afford to go to as many games, it's much more fun to go to a full stadium to watch a good team.

Yup, and sorta weird that Stever is doing a podcast and Garry (Matthew) Meier has a regular gig on WGN. I hoped that the G would hire Steve for the AM instead of Johnny B.

Ya, me too. Some of his stuff was a little hard to take, like making fun of the kids with progeria. But man, a lot of it was classic.

When I was a kid I played for the Mississauga Blackhawks, the sweaters were green with black and white trim and the Indian head crest and crossed tomahawks over an M on the shoulders .... they were pretty gruesome!!!

He hasn't looked good and I spoke to a NYI scout last week....

At some point Mgt, can't continue to ignore.

There is no chance he gets claimed and it seems like they will have to buy him out....And eat a lot of cheddar.

From what I hear the Isles have at least one, probably two, promising goalies in the minors.

I dont like the idea of a 3rd jersey. I liked the winter classic jerseys but am happy that they Hawks only used them sparringly.

Im really happy the Hawks have not tried a DALLAS stylye "Chicago" across the chest with the # on the front or a RANGERS style diagonal "Chicago" on the chest . The jerseys are so awesome as is they should just leave it .

Better than the Winter Classic retro sweater was the 75th Anniversary throwback. I have an un-numbered one, which I love. It's more historically accurate than the WC sweater.

I like white at home for a few reasons. First, home is white in most sports which is key in expanding the audience and I like seeing the different colors of the opposing teams. But mostly, I like going into other teams stadiums in a black hat and that bad-ass red jersey!
