Mclaren looks like he can play some hockey, he had a solid streak of shifts where he was getting a shot and a scoring chance.
- Leafland

Nonis wasn't lying when he said we'd be surprised at MacLaren's skill level.

Hamilton's really shifting it their way. 8 points in 14 gp for a 19 year d-man is pretty solid.

I don't see where Colborne would fit with this team. He is not fast enough to keep pace with Kessel and JVR or Lupes. And Kadri is better than him as a 2C.
- faceto27

Speed is something you can work on. And Kadri might be up on the top line when all is said and done. Colborne, Frattin, and Lupul on the cycle could be dangerous.

Myers doesn't have Chara though, but it's a good point. Even still though, how can one not be impressed by Hamilton and what he's doing? You can play the what if game, but right now Hamilton looks great.

Seems like Colborne needs to be the guy to be good.

I hope Nonis is patient with the guy... as we're seeing with JVR, big guys just need longer to get going.

Colborne could wind up being a good center yet.

I watch the Marlies as often as I can...Colborne needs to work on his skating. Anyone else who goes to Marlies games may agree with me - he's a little slow - not Steckel slow (who is), but he needs Babwa Underpants to help him out.

Been watching the Marlies closely, Gardiner and Colborne are in the pipeline to be first callups (depending on need), coach Lou has carefully and with due diligence, recommends this.
- LeafMan

How has Colborne looked?

I really wish I had more time to watch the Marlies.

Considering Boston has this schedule of only playing 14 games and most others 18, (hmm Jacobs?) I say he has yet to be put into a situation playing 5 games in 7 nights, I still think his skating is very suspect.

Does it really matter anymore?

We probably lost that trade, but not by a huge margin... and we've got so much talent on the team and in the cupboards that we're not really missing anything that we traded for Kessel.

Seguin may have been drafted a center, but he's not one at the NHL level, not yet anyways.

He has been by far the best forward the last month or so, Hamilton the second best. His cycle game has come a long way.

Seguin has seen some spot duty in the press box this year. He has struggled. And as has been pointed out, the Bruins have had a very favorable schedule to date.

It's not as wide a gap as some people paint it...
