That's a good line.
Holy poop - it's fun to be a Leafs fan again.
I've just cursed it, haven't I?
Darn. - Atomic Wedgie
I think Carlyle would be forced to play Kadri's line more(maybe even at the cost of the top line) with those wingers. Too much skill, piss, and vinegar for only 13 minutes a game.
JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Frattin
Komarov-Grabovski-Kulemin/MacA
MacLaren-McClemment-Orr
One of MacA/Kulemin gets traded.
I'd rather it be Mac(we've got enough Macs and Mcs), but Kulemin can get a bigger return.
I don't even care that Bozak's not a top-line C(although he's doing a lot better now that he's not worried about always getting the puck to Kessel)-it'd be nice to upgrade him, but with those wingers on the roster, I think you can get away with a weaker center group, so long as they can win faceoffs. |

I'm worried about Lupul - for some reason (injuries aside) I don't expect much from him. Not sure why - just a gut feel. - Your_Mom
Lupul is gorgeous, shut up. |

Can't imagine when Lupul and Frattin get back... what the hell are the leafs going to do!? - A_Tree
Oh well thats easy. We'll just start to ponder the trade scenarios for Kessel, cause a he is one dimensional and two, we are better off trading him and draft somebody and hope he is better than Phil. |

trade one of MacArthur/Kulemin, sit Brown/MacLaren, move Orr back to the 4th, slot Lupul and Frattin on Kadri's wings.

I think you'll see him with Kadri and Frattin when he gets back.
Kadri will find a way to get him to score, even if he sucks coming back. - Feeling Glucky?

You forgot to mention that Phaneuf is terrible, and we should trade him because Franson is better. |

Frattin.
But it doesn't mean I don't like MacArthur.
Go back to the Mac 'n the USSR line as the #3, and hope they can re-find some of their magic. |

This I agree with. A Jeff Carter type center would be a perfect fit, because I do agree, Phil the Thrill needs to have the puck. - faceto27
IF JVR was a center, a Kessel, JVR, Lupul combo might not be bad. Would provide shooting options, strong net presence, speed on the rush (2 out of the 3), the ability to dig pucks out of the corner and cycle. |

That one just kills me. Anybody that thinks that Franson is better than Phaneuf, just doesn't know his hockey.
Franson can be very servicable within his parameters. RC has figured this out. Put him with a responsible defense first partner(Fraser), limit him to the opposition 2nd or 3rd line forward lines, and thirdly put him on the PP. |

4th line with Orr and McClement. McClaren and Brown rotate in and out depending on the opposition's truculence. |

I'm stoked to see him get back. Hoping RC drops him in beside Kadri and Frattin. If that line could be productive this poop could get really interesting. |

I always felt that if Kessel would man up he could be a Pat Lafontaine type centre---which would in theory solve the whole #1 centre bullpoop----but Kessel's never wanted that role. Maybe Frenchie will correct me and say he never played centre in his life, but I do believe that's where the whole American Sidney Crosby poop came from way back when.

Next question:

Easy answer: 4th line.
If Nonis does manage to swing a trade for a #1 centre by sending a bunch of lesser parts, Komarov can go up to the 3rd line (whatever line that is in Carlyle's system - but you know what I mean - the line that checks and isn't relied on to score).
But the guy skates around and hits. That's great, but it doesn't make him a valuable part of the team. He is what he is, and that isn't as much as some Leafs fans seem to think. |

I think Kessel was a center throughout his development and junior careers. Yes the year he was drafted, there were some who put him ahead of Crosby, and at the least has him rated second behind Crosby. |

Sorry - I knew that was coming. That's what Lupul said about himself when he was giving JVR the Leaf tour with Cabby. Best looking guys on the team - left cheek, then right cheek, then he said "after that...probably Bozak". Bozak! |
