Here is what I see folks - Ruff was let go....he had to go....but that was just step 1...Rolston has 7 games over the next 2 weeks...we have to get at least 10 of those points to have any relevant talk of playoffs - anything less and we have to move to step 2, which is plan for next year...

(1) Darcy is gone at the end of the year but will be around for the deadline - he needs to play a role circa Larry Quinn days where he is nothing but a phone puppet getting offers and scenarios to Ted Black and team who will make the final decisions - Darcy is to make no material decisions for this team going forward

(2) Unless you are Ehroff, Myers, Vanek, Pommenville, Miller or Grigs - you are very tradeable - this list is tradeable under the perfect circumstance

(3) Jochen Hecht needs to take his found $1mil and go back to Germany - Darcy gets a $50K bonus if he can trade him for a 7th round pick

(4) Leopold needs to be traded for whatever pick you can get today

(5) After the next 2 weeks - kids currently on roster and in Roch should be playing over all the players like Gerbe - who is nothing but a 4th line player in the NHL

I would not argue with that - but at the same time I think Pegula owes it to the fans who have bought all the tickets to make the coach change first to see if it stimulates the team before just throwing in the towel....but 2-3 weeks absolute max until reality is dealt with

I'm aware, it's Darcy trying to save his job. I would also like to see them with a different coach, but were in a 48 game season and 1/3 through it and we don't resemble a playoff team in the least. Darcy needs to man up and sit down with Terry and tell him what needs to be done for the future of this franchise

(4) happens right at the deadline where a team wants a veteran for their 3rd D-pairing & 2nd PP unit as a rental who is only going to play 8-10 min a game vs the 18-20 here....he still has mid-pick value there
